The procession going towards the house of the priest infront of which the
Bhuta was originally established. There is an alter. The priest carries a
basket containing bola a ritual drink made of toddy and Raktabola
Procession of the priest in the original alter

The procession moves towards the bathing place where Bhuta dancer takes
holy bath. Throughout this ritual the Bhuta dancer are covered with cloth

The Bhuta impersonator and others attenders take bath in the pond

Return to the shrine after the holy bath

A calf was ritualy offered. The organizer handover the calf by throwing the
rope towards the impersonator

The idols masks and other objects of worship inside the shrine at Kaup

A decorated floral design on which the idol where placed and the ritual
offerings where kept

A decorated pole is taken round the shrine and taken out and at the road side
near the Marigudi it is established. A cock is tied to it.

The priests and priest possessed go round the shrine Aarati is waved. The
possessed priests weiled bows and arrows and symbolically enact the
hunting scene. They go near the den of tiger inside which the Bhuta
impersonator dancer is seated

The impersonator comes out of his den and go towards the pole known as
Bhanta Kamba. He pushes down the piller and bites the cock. This
symbolises the hunting of the tiger
