Now days HRM&D is the strategic partner of any business model. We study a lot about HR in our business schools
but in our practical life most of the HR Practitioners are performing clerical things or just doing operational job. Why
these professionals are performing this post office? Why these professionals dont go with stretegical thinking? Why
they are not able to implement those tools and techniques which they learned during their academia? Are the bookish
knowledge is not valuable or its just for the sake of theories? Why these professionals are not use those things as per
the requirement and behavior of their organization?
Today in this session we will start our voyage to discover the ansers of these and many other questions. Specifically
for today we are going to have mind storming about the shades of HR like Personality Profiling for Talent Acquisition
& Key Competencies Required For HR.
Personality Profiling which is the essential part of Selection Process, but due to our negligence of this shade in
Pakistani HR Practices; HR professionals are not give it that weightage which this activity really deserves. Personality
refers to an individuals unique arrangement of consistent behavioral traits and it is very difficult to assess it during
15-20 minutes interview session. In Pakistan HR professional have more focus on assessing the knowledge, attitude
and skills of candidate there should be a requirement of personality assessments in the employment selection
process to identify people who have more than just specific Knowledge and skills. Today Mr. Amir A. Hamid will
provide us that how and why Personality Profiling is important for Best Talent Acquisition.
Knowing about Key Competencies for HR Professional is like a key of success for any HR Professional. Today Ms.

Mr. Amir has worked with number of multinationals companies including PepsiCo, Bank of
America and IBM in various senior management roles for Pakistan, Middle East and Asian
markets. Presently, he is working as Consultant and Trainer with BizSol Consulting.

Maqbool A. Babri, popularly known as Max Babri, is the Chief Executive of The Konsultants
a Lahore based Management Consulting Group. He specializes in Institutional Development
through Participatory Decision-Making, Interpersonal Skills Team Building, Leadership and

Media Techniques at the University of Lulea, Sweden, during 1982-85.He has excellent

He is a visiting Professor at the Punjab University teaching Group Psychotherapy to the students
of Advanced Diploma in Clinical Psychology. Presently Mr. Babri is teaching a course on
change management as part of the MSc. programme in Human Resources offered by Department
of Administrative Sciences University of the Punjab. Mr. Babri is currently developing a course
on Education and Diversity for MS in education offered by Beacon-house National University.
As a visiting professor he has taught at LUMS, Interpersonal Skills during 1987- to present and
Psychology during 1995-96 sessions.
Mr. Babri is a practicing Psychotherapist and a certified clinical hypnotherapist.

Amir has a rich knowledge and experience of talent management as well as functional expertise
in Human Resources. In his 20 year experience of diversified industries, he has worked with
number of multinationals companies including PepsiCo, Bank of America and IBM in various
senior management roles for Pakistan, Middle East and Asian markets. Presently, he is working
as Consultant and Trainer with BizSol Consulting.

He has vast experience in Talent Development, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition and
Rewards Management.

Amir is MBA in Human Resources; train the trainer on Coaching & Developing Talent, Certified
on DISC, Psychometric Testing and Job Evaluation and Analysis on Hays methodology.

He is country advisory council member of Pakistan Human Capital Forum and member of
multiple HR bodies. He has interest in gardening, reading and culinary arts.
