Second Topic: Impact of the Syrian crisis on children, saving areas of health, nutrition, as well as in the future of children, through education and child protection Good morning, chairwomen, delegates and all here present
Death comes to us all; we can only choose how to face it when it comes. Robert Jordan
As we have already foresaw on the early months of 2011, Syria became part of The Arab Spring which has already brought to its knees and total extinction the regimes of some Arab countries, which mainly caused massive destruction and unreliable violence to their citizens and territory, while some governments managed to delay the trouble with unconscious acts of repression, weak and vain promises of reform, most of this tryouts failed to the wrath, voice and power of their people.
Following the example of their frontier countries, this civil war grew as the popular uprising ideas against the unconscious regime of the President of Syria Bashar Al-Assad, which has only responded with a brutal reply worned out the hand of Syrian Armed forces, the National Defense Force and the Baath Brigades which are willing to slaughter every single group against their will and power.
Now some civil armed forces, who only seek to oust this irrelevant and frankly useless system of control, have taken the law by them and they are giving their best to shut down this regime of suffering and death.
Now just realize how this has afflicted the children of Syria, this kids who carry on their shoulders the future of their nation and so many hopes only a clean and pure mind of a child could have, this minds are being depraved and rotten by the fact that they have foresaw and witness just filthy and unnecessary activities such as murder, seeing their loved ones getting torned into pieces and raw flesh.
Millions of innocent children are being forced to experience things that now even human beings are meant to see and feel, this children are seeing just the rests of what a bright future might be, being surrounded by violence and war may only cause them to live in a world without education, being forced to work for a living which they do not deserve to, experience exploitation and abuse from the ones who claim to have the right to rule them and force this children to join armed groups to fight for a cause they cannot even understand.
The only way these innocent children may be saved and taken away from this dark and filthy environment is getting registered as refugees awaiting for some support and a new opportunity to their lives.
Now, today the United States has not performed military action towards Syrias regime, United States along with many other countries have had already expressed their position in this Civil War dilemma, United States have declared and stated that Assad's leadership is illegitimate and called for his resignation and awaiting for him to leave the power. The United States and other nations have also elaborated and instated brand new a system of economic sanctions against Syrias form of government and power, to prevent oil sales and other exports from funding the continued violence, because this may only cause that this behavior and slaughter will go on and millions of lives will be gone in the future
As a result to other countris asking for military intervention towards Syria by United States, In a press conference on March 6, 2012, Obama said, "for us to take military action unilaterally, as some have suggested, or to think that somehow there is some simple solution, I think is a mistake. What happened in Libya was we mobilized the international community, had a U.N. Security Council mandate, had the full cooperation of the region, Arab states, and we knew that we could execute very effectively in a relatively short period of time. This is a much more complicated situation."
