Nov. 5, Wed.-Fall Bible Study will meet here at church, 7 p.m.
Nov. 5, Wed.-There will not be Youth Bible Study. Youth are encouraged to attend
the last Church Fall Bible Study Group.

Nov. 6-8, Wed.-Fri.-LMS is presenting Arthur Miller's drama, "The Crucible," at


7:30 p.m. each night, with a Sat. matinee at 1 p.m. Tickets are $5 for students and
$8 for adults, and may be reserved by calling the box office at 299-0436, ext. 340.
Nov. 8, Sat.-5 p.m. Coffeehouse For A Cause- We will be raising money for
Christmas gifts for students in India. There will be a bean bag tournament, other
games and food, all the money will go for the Indian gifts. There is a sign up sheet
for teams to enter the tournament- the cost is $10 per team of two, you will play at
least three games and the top two teams will receive a prize. any questions ask any
out reach member.
Nov. 13, Thurs.-Jared Burkholder presents Heroes and Heretics: Pietists and
Anabaptist in the Evangelical Imagination at 7:30 p.m., at Elizabethtown Colleges
Young Center for Anabaptist and Pietist Studies. Burkholder, professor of history at
Grace College in Winona Lake, Ind., will examine several episodes in history when
evangelicals have either revered or condemned Pietist and Anabaptist traditions and
discuss what that says about all three groups and their places on the landscape of

Nov. 15, Sat.-7 p.m. - Friendship Community is holding our 13th Annual Harmony
Concert. The concert will be held at the Forest Hills Mennonite Church in Leola.
The concert is a free event, and no reservations are required. A freewill offering will
be collected, and all proceeds benefit Individuals with developmental disabilities.

Nov. 15 & 16, Fri. & Sat.-LMS is hosting a variety of activities on the Lancaster
Campus as part of its Fall Festival. Check www.lancastermennonite.org for more
information about all these events.
Nov. 18, Wed.-Bowmansville District Sewing Circle will meet at the Bowmansville
Mennonite Church in the morning and afternoon. Everyone is welcome to come to
help quilt, knot comforters or sew on a sewing machine. Floy Baker and Liz Martin
have done sewing on the sewing machines for many years, but at this time neither is
able to attend Sewing Circle! Would you be able to take their place? Persons are
also needed to piece comforter tops and cut patches. Both of these jobs can be done
at home, when you have time. We have material we can give you, if you would be
able to cut patches and/or piece tops. If you would like to know more details about
this work, please call Janice Horning (717-445-5687). Many thanks to those of you
who have already supplied us with tops!
Nov. 23, Sun.-All are invited to a Thanksgiving and Welsh Hymn Concert at 4:30
p.m., at Neffsville Mennonite Church. Vigorous congregational singing will be led
by Glenn Lehman, assisted by the Harmonies Vocal Ensemble, the Bravura Brass
quintet, and organ. A suggested $5 donation at the door will defray expenses and
benefit www.harmonies.org.
-MCC Project: Each year, Anabaptist churches in the East Coast region donate
nearly 3,000 bags of nonperishable food items to urban areas, including New York
City and Philadelphia. A grocery bags contents are as follows: 32 oz. veg. oil; 2
lbs. pasta; 1 lb. raisins; 32 oz. white rice; 2 cans chicken or tuna (12 oz. ea.); 15 oz.
can tomato sauce; 2 cans fruit (14-16 oz. ea.); 2 cans vegetables (14-16 oz. ea.); 2
cans beans (15.5 oz. ea.); 1 box cereal (14-18 oz.) and 28 oz. peanut butter. Bags

can be brought to the church and Sewing Circle will see they are taken to MCC.

-The China team wishes to thank everyone who participated in the Mystery
Supper fundraiser last Saturday. We appreciate your continued support as we plan
for our trip (December 11-24th). Please pray for Gods leading as travel details are
worked out...and pray that God would prepare our hearts and the hearts of the
Chinese people with whom we interact.
