2011 Summer Volleyball Camp Western Oregon University


Brad Saindon just completed his third season
as the leader of the Western Oregon volleyball
program. He has compiled a record of 44-31
during his tenure at WOU, including leading
the school to its frst-ever Great
Northwest Athletic Conference
volleyball championship in 2008
with a 15-1 record in conference
play (22-3 overall). In 2010,
Saindon led a young Wolves
squad to a 12-6 record and a
fourth place fnish in the GNAC.
Saindon brings a wealth of
knowledge as well as the
latest and most innovative
training and technical
ideas to Western Oregon.
He organizes his practices
and camps with a strong emphasis
on active play, where athletes can apply
fundamental skills within competition.
Before leading the Wolves, Brad served
fve years as head coach for the Arizona
State University womens volleyball team.
His 25 years of collegiate coaching is
complimented by 598 international
matches including the 2000
Sydney Olympic Games, the
2002 World Championships,
and the 1989 World Cup.
Western Oregon University Summer Volleyball Camps welcome volleyball players
entering grades 7 through 12. Western Oregon volleyball players and coaches will provide detailed and positive
instruction in all basic skills, with an emphasis on active participation. Our camps are for players looking for a
well-rounded introduction to the skills of volleyball, including passing, hitting, setting, serving, and blocking.
Emphasis will be on development of individual skills, with tons of competitive opportunities to test and reward
your development! Whether this is your frst camp experience or you are a returning letter-winner, our compact
2 day camp will help you discover the basic and advanced techniques that provide a foundation for championship
teams at all levels.

WOU Future Wolves Camp
Athletes entering grades 7and 8
Camp Dates: July 18 19 20
*Commuter Rate: $200
**Overnight Rate: $300

Athletes will be split up into groups by their ability and given instruction in specifc fundamentals. They will also learn
how to apply those fundamentals in competition. Training will also emphasize preparation for the move up to higher
competitive levels. If you would like to play college volleyball, this is the camp for you!

Pick up time for commuters is 4 p.m.
* Lunch is provided for those who are commuting to the WOU campus.
** Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided for overnight campers.

Camp Highlights
All sessions are on the WOU campus
Camp volleyball given to each camper
Camp t-shirt given to each camper
6 to 1 camper to coach ratio
Campers will participate in the same high-level drills as WOU players
Campers have the option to stay overnight in WOU dormitories
Full time trainers are at each session
WOU players will be present during camp to provide hands-on direction.
WOU Prospect Camp
Athletes entering grades 9 and 10
Camp Dates: July 21 22 23
*Commuter Rate: $200
**Overnight Rate: $300

Would you like to play collegev olleyball? This is the camp for you! Athletes will spend two and a half intense days at
camp, training for the upper levels of both high school and club volleyball. Emphasis will be on the preparation for higher-level
competition with specialized position training. Athletes will receive 15 hours of instruction and competition, where they will
apply new volleyball fundamentals and skill.

Pick up time for commuters is 4 p.m.
* Lunch is provided for those who are commuting to the WOU campus.
** Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided for overnight campers.

**Overnight Rate: $325
Be Seen! Our Elite Camp is specifcally designed to prepare athletes for high and collegiate levels of play. With three
extra hours in the gym and accelerated intensity on the court, athletes will experience what it is like to play at the next
level. Our six to one coach to player ratio will provide athletes with personalized instruction and insight into collegiate
preparation and competition. Athletes will receive an elite volleyball and camp t-shirt. WOU coaches and players will
give campus tours and provide information about college volleyball.
