April in Bloom

Dear Friends and Family,

Hello on and all! I have some things to share with you all. I have moved into a new place in Kona
and have been given a place to work on campus! Please celebrate with me as these both are huge
blessings for me. They have come at the right time and has come at a time in which I needed some
space and some room to dive into the many tasks on my plate. This life I have chosen to live is
quite unique it comes with a ton of privileges and blessings and some times what seems like
mountains of challenges. I have been in a season of challenges that have seemed larger than life
at times but have found the grace to stand and hold fast to Jesus, for he who has called me is
faithful. I couldnt live without my Lord nor do what I am doing without him. There is no formula or
program it boils down to radically, passionately following God, not for what I can get nor for what I
could do for him, simply to be WITH him. If you ever wonder why I tromp around the world it is
simply that I want to be working with Jesus and the mission he has called me to. If you are working
9 to 5 or pastoring a church or a stay at home parent you can be just as radical as me by simply
choosing to do everything you do from a heart of love for God and a desire to be with him. I have
noticed we often have a misperception of what it means to be radical for Jesus, and I felt that I
should share with you what I have come to discover recently, it means to have a desire to be with
Him no matter what you do or where you go.

Next Steps!

Writing, writing, writing!yes this is a season of a lot of paperwork. I am home in Kona to set down
some perimeters of the research institute. Currently I am in the process of recruiting board members
and would covet your prayers that I would be led to the correct people. There are five active projects
for the research institute that I am preparing for at the moment: two on land, two on ships and one
mobile unit, all of these I am hoping to see launched in the near future. The research I am doing
for TB is ongoing as well as teaching some here on campus.

Prayer Requests!

Finances!traveling and living in Kona is much more expensive than living in Eastern Europe!
Please continue to be in prayer for my research into TB, no matter where I am this is still ongoing
so I need a ton of wisdom and ability to make good decisions. I am also praying about my travel
schedule for next year. I would appreciate your prayers for wisdom and discernment as I plan my
itinerary. Thank you all so much for all that you have given, sown, shared and how you generously
give of your time, love and finances. May the Lord richly bless you all!

Love,
April !
