The Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) in Atlanta, Georgia, USA
has one of the worlds top ranked business schools Scheller College of
Business. As part of Schellers Masters of Business Administration (MBA)
program, an international practicum course is offered for seasoned MBA
students who provide their business consulting expertise to businesses and
organizations around the world on a volunteer basis. Over the past decade,
the Scheller practicum program has provided consulting services for
organizations in countries such as Japan, Indonesia, Brazil, Argentina, and
Denmark. For 2015, Tanzania has been selected as a new destination, and the
following clients have been selected:

Mohammed Enterprises Limited Tanzania (MeTL)

Tanzania Atomic Energy Commission (TAEC)

Shree Hindu Mandal Hospital

African Village Real Estate Development

Ngumba Investments Agribusiness Holdings

Five US-based teams of MBA students will work on projects for these 5 clients
from January to April of 2015. Each team requires one (1) Tanzanian MBA
student to collaborate with as part of a virtual team. In March 2015, t he
American MBA students will visit Dar for 1 week where they will meet with
their clients and their Tanzanian MBA counterparts. Together, the American
and Tanzanian MBA students will participate in team-building exercises and
also visit Zanzibar for a 2-day cultural excursion.
