INTRODUCTION
A. Background of Paper
Prostitution is the business or practice of providing sexual services to another
person in return for payment. The person who receives payment for sexual services is
called a prostitute or sex worker, and the person who receives such services is known
by a multitude of terms.
The legal status of prostitution varies from country to country, from being
permissible but unregulated, to a punishable crime or to a regulated profession.
Estimates place the annual revenue generated from the global prostitution industry
to be over $100 billion. Prostitution is sometimes referred to as "the world's oldest
profession".
The women in sex business work on various kinds of the environment or place,
including a brothel, a bar, hotels, and the streets. Sex industry business covers
various kinds of erotic jobs, like prostitution, pornography, phone sex lines, massage
parlor, escorts, and strippers. Sex worker often face discrimination and severe
violence. In fact, that many sex worker who also had problems with addiction,
which makes them more vulnerable to abuse, disease, and discrimination.
Prostitution not only had done by adult women, but at this times many
teenagers into prostitution with economic reasons. Trantib officers made several
raids on prostitutes in the streets of the capital protocols and sent to social houses
like Cipayung and Kedoya, but this does not deter the prostitutes, in fact number is
increasing. Prostitutes are actually forced to do the work because of the condition
and the severe economic situation forced them and there is no other choice, and
some are stuck by pimp so for fear of the public perception then they become the
real prostitutes. In addition, the Government is not serious about overcome the
problems of prostitution, proved raids aimed at reducing prostitution was not
successful.
Although prostitutes, they are just a women. They do that because public
perception, especially men put women just as slave sex, so prostitution thrives. Then
compounded by the myth of virginity in the people, the victim of rape is increasing.

Those who are victims of rape from a weak economy with little employment
opportunities will run into prostitution. We cant blame them, because the system in
Indonesia actually make women trapped in prostitution itself.
Prostitution was fields business for them who trapped by demands of the times
and economic the increasingly should keep fulfilled. Some of them come from poor
families, being abandoned by her husband while her kids are should still eat, to
finance the treatment of her parents, and her husband had approved because it
was really poor.
If viewed from the perspective of social life moral not all people can receive
the position of prostitutes in the society, because it could affect the personality of a
society and especially for children who growing. However, the fact indicates that,
though prostitution is prohibited by law and religion in Indonesia, the prostitution
practice underground is still rampant in big cities in Indonesia.
These actions also a criminal act which can disadvantage if they get bad
treatment and discrimination by some parties. But there is no clarity whether
prostitutes can still be said to be a business or is it a moral crime.
B. Purpose of Papers
The purposes of writing this paper are:
1. To give a description that the era of independence and the era of
globalization now there are still many teenager who has sold himself to can
live and take care of his family;
2. To give a negative impact as a result of being engendered or caused by
rampant prostitution, either as an offender and community broadly;
3. To explain of the main factor of prostitution rapid growth; and
4. To explain the moral condition of Indonesian children if prostitution continues
to rapid growth.

C. Benefit of Papers
The benefits of writing this paper are:
1. Readers can give their advice and opinions to the prevention of prostitution;
2. Readers able to analyze law enforcement and poverty problems, have
worked well or not; and
3.
For the general public, is expected to open the eyes and ears of their hearts
that in fact in the midst of life that seems safe, serene and peaceful yet there
is also a reality that is quite alarming and need to be with the awareness that
there are some members of the community who need rides awareness of
behavior deviate.
