Ashutosh Makharia This is a case of Diophantine Equation. 1/x+1/y = 1/97 means both x
& y are greater than 97 so it can be written as (1/(97+a) + 1/( 97+b) = 1/97 or
(97+b+97+a )/(97+a)(97+b)= 97(97+97 +a +b) = 97*97 + 97a + 97b + ab or + 97a+97b +
97*97 +97*97= 97*97 + 97a +97b + ab or 97^2 = ab (i.e In how many ways 97^2 can be
written as a product of two numbers) 97 will have two factors. so 97^2 will have 3
factors.

How to get the sum of the series 1, 4, 8, 13....?? Want method not ans... (cat que)
In this type, the first difference is not constant. The second difference gives a constant.
For example: 3, 8, 15, 24, 36 is a sequence.
3 8 15 24 35
\_/\_ /\_ /\_ /
5 7 9 11
\_ /\_ /\_ /
2 2 2 (first difference)
(second difference)
This is a quadratic sequence as the second difference is a constant (in this case, 2).
The general formula for a quadratic is:
nth term = a + (n 1)d1 + (n 1)(n 2)d2
Where a = first term
d1= first difference
d2= second difference
=3=5=2
nth term = 3 + (n 1)5 + (n 1)(n 2)2
= 3 + 5n 5 + n2 3n + 2
= 2n + n2
We can use this to find the 100th term:
100th term = 1 002 + 200
= 10 200

four digit number...
****
total cases = 4^4 becoz every place can get 4 distinct prime numbers.. = 256 ..
But we over counted.. need to remove cases..
1 * 1 * 1 * 210 = 4!/3! = 4 cases
1 * 1 * 6 * 35 = 4!/2! = 4 * 3 * 2 / 2 = 12 cases
total cases left = 256 - 4 - 12 = 240 cases..
if we need distinct.. = 240/4! = 10
Now add the two removed cases to count them once..
10+2 = 12 cases..

CAT BASED RC.............The effects of the secondwave womens movement have
been vast, both in the public
sphere and in the lives of
individual women. In an attempt
to gain a better picture of some
of these ramifications, Professor
Aronsons research has focused
on the young women who have
come of age in the 1980s and
90s, sometimes referred to as
the post feminist generation, and
their view of feminism. Building
on previous research while being
aware of its weaknesses, she has
made significant strides forward
in the understanding of
feminism as young women see it
today.

Part of the great value that lies

in Professor Aronsons work
comes from her critique of
others research on feminist
topics. Past research, she points
out, has been riddled with
misleading research strategies
that have slightly biased or
distorted the findings. One such
strategy has been to ignore racial
and socioeconomic divides when
questioning women about their
views of feminism. Another,
more fundamental problem with
past research has been to
assume that all women share the
same definition of feminism. In
such a study, women who
believe in classical feminist
ideology but refuse to label
themselves with the term
feminist would not be
differentiated from women who
do not have any feminist beliefs
whatsoever.
Professor Aronsons
exploration into the different
manners in which different
ethnic and socioeconomic
groups view feminism, a
previously overlooked topic, is of
particular importance to the
study of feminism. Non-white
women often feel that feminism
is a movement of mainly white
women, just as working-class
women often express the
opinion that feminisms main
goal is to discuss topics such as
the glass ceiling, a notable
concern of middle-class women.
Feminism, which seeks to benefit
all women, cannot be limited by
narrow definitions of the
movement or of the women it
aims to empower.
What may be inferred about the
difference between Professor
Aronson's studies and past
studies?
1.Professor Aronson's studies are
more reliable than previous
studies.
2.It is impossible to classify women
as feminists or non-feminists
within the parameters of

Professor Aronson's studies

whereas past studies allow for a
clear classification.
3.Working-class women who
consider themselves feminists
would be reflected differently
under Professor Aronson's
studies than under past studies.
4.The results of Professor
Aronson's research would not be
significantly different from the
results of past research.
5.More women are feminists
according to Professor Aronson's
studies than according to
previous studies
