AT&T EXPANDS 4G LTE COVERAGE TO MORE ORIENT POINT

Additional Cell Site Upgraded to 4G LTE as Part of AT&Ts Project VIP Investment
ORIENT POINT, N.Y., NOV., 5, 2014 As part of its continuing network investment and ongoing 4G
LTE rollout, AT&T* has upgraded a mobile Internet cell site in Orient Point to expand AT&T 4G LTE
coverage for area residents and businesses. New LTE coverage includes the Cross Sound Ferry Dock,
Orient Point County Park, Orient State Parkway, Orient Beach State Park, and Route 24 in the area.
The expansion of 4G LTE wireless network coverage is an incredible benefit for Orient Point
residents, said Matthew Cohen, Esq., Vice President of Government Affairs and Communications,
Long Island Association. This is great news for the economic development for this area of Suffolk
County and for our citizens who depend on their wireless devices for conducting business, gathering
information and staying connected with family and friends.

AT&Ts 4G Network
This launch is part of AT&Ts Project Velocity IP (VIP), a three-year investment plan announced in Fall
2012 to expand and enhance its IP broadband networks. Through this investment, AT&T is supporting
its customers growing desire for high-speed Internet access and new mobile, app and cloud-based
services. As part of Project VIP, AT&T plans to add macro cell sites nationwide by year-end 2015, as
well as deploy small cells and add Distributed Antenna Systems to increase the density of its wireless
network.
AT&Ts innovation and investment has resulted in a nationwide 4G network with ultra-fast speeds and a
consistent user experience.
AT&Ts focus to deliver the best possible mobile Internet experience goes beyond 4G to embrace

globally through roaming agreements. Most AT&T smartphone customers get access to our entire
