The project discussed the major automation of domestic and industrial scale control
systems. Having implemented a model of a real-time home automation mechanism has
been achieved using microcontroller in automating the lights, AC, curtains and security
alarms. A ZigBee development kit has also been tested as a wireless control mechanism.
For a larger industrial scale automation system, an implementation of a SCADA system
using two Siemens PLC's S7-300 connected via MPI network to an output module had
also been built.
