Provide answers in paragraph form to the questions below that

are relevant to your production.

1. Are there any potential hazards that could pose a health and safety risk
where your photo shoot will take place (trailing cables/traffic/other objects )?

Hazards and health risks that could occur are that the bench and chair we used could
splinter causing my model harm or the weight of the guitar dropping on her. The
weather outside could also be a problem as I cannot possibly know what the weather
will be. Another risk is that my model could back out leaving me with no model which is
where I have to make a backup plan.

2. What will you do to ensure these risks are minimised?

To reduce the risks, I will have to ensure the photos are shot on a day where the
weather is appropriate and ensure that all other health and safety hazards are
addressed for example that the bench etc. does not cause any harm.

3. Will the time of day/weather affect the outcome of the photos? Have you
allowed for this?

The day/weather will not particularly affect the outcome of the photo although the
double page spread photo could be affected due to it being outside. The lighting of the
photo could also be greatly affected by the weather also this can be fixed if there are
any problems.

4. Have you considered the background to your photos, particularly if taken

outside? How will you ensure you will get the background you want?

To ensure the background is the one I want I will ensure all the background such as the
bench, flower pots, nature etc. are available and can be position just right for the photoshoot.

5. Have you considered lighting? What about the problems of natural lighting,
either outside, or streaming through a window? Will you need to use a flash?
Have you considered reflective objects that might spoil the effect?

The problem that may occur with natural lighting is that the light may not be in the right
place and the light might not have the right brightness too. With the wrong lighting, the
photo could be really effected and the image could come out undesirable to use in a
magazine.

6. Are other people/crowds likely to be an issue for you? What have you done to
ensure that it will not spoil the effect?

No, I have ensure the location is clear of any other people.

7. Are you reliant on lifts/props/friends equipment/models? How have you

planned that these things will come together at the appointed time? Plan B?

My plan B was to capture images of another model willing to take the photos as well. I
was relying on the guitar although the model was providing the guitar.
