Dear Sirs,
1BU
A: PROPOSAL OVERVIEW
The proposed Energy Management System uses utility class energy meters for the
measurement and recording of electrical consumption.
These meters store the energy consumption data in half-hourly load intervals.
The data are then retrieved automatically and stored at the Remote Server for report generation
and energy management using our web-based software - CLARITI.
The interactive web-based energy usage information service that is included in our proposed
solution is a critical tool to help energy users to manage their energy usages.
User-friendly interfaces, coupled with a range of useful reports provide energy users the
information required to achieve their energy management goals.
All reports can be exported to PDF/MS EXCEL/CSV files format.
Schedules can also be created for the generation and automatic delivery of reports via email.
Additionally, email based notifications (alerts) could also be received when energy usage at a
site (meter) meets a predefined set of threshold criteria.
This proposal is based on a wireless system design using a General Packet Radio
Service(GPRS) communications technology.
This means that the energy data from the meters are communicated to the Remote Server by the
GPRS communications.
As such, no costly communications hard-wiring and networking equipment are required.
Capital outlay for the server and peripherals will not be necessary as well since the Remote Server
is hosted in the secured Server Room.
Interactive Web-based Energy Usage Information Service - CLARITI
This service application provides energy users insight into their energy usages.
