Analyzer Update

1 In this version
This release contains support for new and updated file formats. There are updates for most
technologies that Actix supports, with changes falling under the following categories:

New collection devices supported:

Added support for JDSU format version 17.0-2.

Added support to Ding Li format for new devices iPhone CDMA


handset, ZTE V880+, and Hisilicon MIFI.

Application layer improvements:

None.

Platform improvements:

Added greyscale mode for Bing Maps.

Added support for persisting label properties in the Map.

Added support for Japanese characters in the Legend.

Added support in Text import for timestamps expressed as


decimal numbers.

Known issues:

2 New collection device or technology support


2.1 DataPro support

A problem has been resolved that caused Analyzer to run out of memory
when the message Data Transfer Statistics TestEvents is logged too
frequently in a log file.

2.2 Ding Li support

Added support for the following new devices:

iPhone CDMA handset

ZTE V880+

Hisilicon MIFI

2.3 JDSU support

Added support for version 17.0-2.

Added support for a new data testing (FTP, HTTP) test script in JDSU.

In UMTS, the following new RACH attributes are set:

UE_RACH_FirstDCHFrame_CFN (CFN of the first frame at


which the Cell_DCH radio link is synchronized).

UE_RACH_FirstDCHFrame_Pwr (UE transmit power for the


first frame at which the Cell_DCH radio link is synchronized).

UE_RACH_FirstDCHFrame_PwrDown (number of
consecutive radio frames for which the UE transmit power
decreases following the first frame for which the Cell_DCH radio
link is synchronized).

2.4 Nemo support

Nemo call events (such as NemoEvent_CallAttempt_CAA) are now


also set when the UE operates in LTE mode.
A problem has been resolved with the message DCONTENT that could
prevent Nemo files from loading in Analyzer.
A problem has been resolved that prevented the Merge scanner and
handset data feature from working (under Tools > Preferences >
General Settings) when used in combination with Nemo Auto load
device files (under Tools > Preferences > General Settings >
Nemo), if the scanner and handset stream start times were different.
Analyzer now computes and sets the attributes App_Throughput_DL
and App_Throughput_UL for Web browsing test.

2.5 Qualcomm support

In UMTS, the following new RACH attributes are set:

UE_RACH_FirstDCHFrame_CFN (CFN of the first frame at


which the Cell_DCH radio link is synchronized).

UE_RACH_FirstDCHFrame_Pwr (UE transmit power for the


first frame at which the Cell_DCH radio link is synchronized).

UE_RACH_FirstDCHFrame_PwrDown (number of
consecutive radio frames for which the UE transmit power
decreases, following the first frame for which the Cell_DCH radio
link is synchronized).

A problem has been resolved with the handling of Qualcomm internal


debug messages (log code 0x1FEB) that could cause Analyzer to crash.

2.6 Generic

In LTE call trace, Analyzer now detects and sets events at redirected
releases.
In LTE call trace, Analyzer does not peg RRC drops for normal RRC
connection releases caused by NAS procedure failures.

3 Application layer improvements

4 Platform improvements
4.1 Map

Bing Maps can now also be displayed in greyscale by using the new
setting in the Background Map Properties dialog box.
Map label properties are persisted in Analyzer after the Map is closed. A
new button in the dialog box can be used to reset the values to their
defaults.
Japanese characters are now correctly displayed in the Legend.

4.2 Text import

Added support for importing time stamps expressed as decimal numbers


through the use of the DateTime format group.
