Summary
Since a young age I always enjoyed studying science
related subjects. I am also very enthusiastic about using computers, especially to assist tasks that would be
impossible otherwise. It made sense then to try to combine those two interests in my future professional life,
making me choose Mechanical Engineering as my college course. Since then I am very lucky, being able to
combine my two passions in my daily academic life.
In my first year of university I joined a project called
Baja SAE, a student engineering competition, where
its participants design and build a off-rod vehicle during the course of an year. During my three years in
the project I developed a series of key skills as team-

work, problem solving and leadership. in this time, due

to the good results archived by me and my team members, I traveled twice to the United States to represent
Brazil in the international competition.
More recently I spend one year abroad in the UK,
studying at the University of Kent. Hoping to increase
my theoretical background I didnt enrolled in Mechanical Engineering, opting instead to study subjects of other
fields as Mathematics, Computer Science and Physics.
While this decision delayed my graduation in one year,
I judge that the experience attained is going to proven
very valuable in the ever increasing interdisciplinary
engineering job market.

Manufacturing Team
May 09 Mar 10
Worked in the construction of two off-road vehicles. To do so I need to learn a series of manufacturing
techniques as machining (lathe, milling, grinder), welding and bending as well work methodologies as
the 5S scheme.
Project Team
Apr 10 Mar 11
Engaged in the project of the power-train system of the new prototype. Manage to get familiar with a
series of modern design techniques as decision matrices, finite element analysis and FMEA.
Project Manager
Apr 11 Mar 12
Organized a team of 15+ people, dividing tasks and running weekly meetings to access work progress.
Also needed to manage the team finances and contact a series of engineering companies to enquire
sponsorship possibilities.
