Depth and Focus: ARPC attacks each case with a highly skilled team. Every
assignment is led by an expert partner of the firm who gives the case top priority,
is directly engaged in the strategic and analytical work tasks and acts as primary

epidemiologists, and subject matter experts who concentrate on seeing more than
the obvious.
Recognized Tools Uniquely Applied: ARPC wins the praise of its clients because
we are consistently able to provide insights that lead to successful outcomes. Our
specialists are well-versed in the tools and methodologies that are commonly
applied to complex analyses. But we strive to always look past the results produced
by standard methodologies and see the issues in different dimensions. This often
leads us to find strength where others see weakness, or to provide more nuanced
answers to complex problems.
in the field of applied economic analysis. The firm originally created methodologies
such as the Life of Case approach, which has become the standard framework for
analyzing personal injury indemnity in mass tort cases.

Case Studies
ARPC has a distinguished history of providing expert and advisory
services on many of the largest economic issues in history.
ARPC was engaged as the primary economic advisor to the Administrator
of the Deep Water Horizon Oil Spill Trust established by BP in 2010. The
Administrator was responsible for the creation and operations of the Gulf Coast
Claims Facility which was charged with processing and paying claims arising
from the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. ARPC was tasked to conduct a variety
of analyses to quantify the economic and financial impacts of the oil spill. The
work assignments ranged from the estimation of claims filings to the design of
compensation algorithms that underlie the compensation model of the Trust.
ARPC has extensive experience in asbestos litigation and claims support. Over
the course of nearly 20 years, our economists have been engaged by major
corporations facing legal action from millions of claimants exposed to asbestos.
ARPC experts have provided support in the courtroom in the form of expert
analysis and testimony, providing economic insight to help allocate resources
and estimate costs for paying out asbestos claims, as well as actuarial advice to
clients facing bankruptcy. In addition, our economists have developed multiple
claims forecasts, using exposure data to build a database of claims information
to help our clients administer payment to those exposed.
Today ARPC continues to process claims for numerous asbestos trusts using an
internally-developed system, allowing for expedited processing and payment.
ARPC has been retained by each of the existing asbestos-related personal injury
trusts to perform assessments of the liabilities facing these trusts, as well as to
consult with the trusts regarding claims management, as well as expert witness
services and liability forecasting related to bankruptcy and class actions.

Data Analytics
Enterprises are gathering, storing, and using increasing volumes of data. Information and insights
derived from this data are viewed as a potentially significant competitive advantage and, conversely,
not having the ability to collect and usefully analyze data is becoming a dangerous strategic
disadvantage. The resulting explosive growth in the volumes of data that are being gathered,
stored, and analyzed are beginning to have a significant impact on the cost and complexity of
litigation. As a result, more attention is being paid to the tools and techniques that can be applied
to gain insights from growing mountains of information.
