Description
The BSC calculates the number of times one-way audio occurs. When the number exceeds the value of
Speech Channel Alarm Threshold (default value: 10) within a One-Way Mute Alarm Reporting Period
(default value: 60 minutes), ALM-21814 BSS Internal Voice Channel Abnormal is generated.
The alarm is cleared when the number of times one-way audio occurs returns to below the value of
Speech Channel Alarm Clearance Threshold (default value: 6) within a One-Way Mute Alarm Reporting
Period.
One-way audio in the uplink is detected by the GUPCS subsystem of the BSC. If the GUPCS subsystem
finds that the bad frame rate exceeds the value of Exceptional Frame Threshold of Mute Detect Class1
(default value: 25), the BSC sends a one-way audio ACK/NACK message to the BTS. If the BSC receives
a one-way audio ACK message from the BTS, the BSC confirms the occurrence of one-way audio.
One-way audio in the downlink is detected by the BTS. If the BTS detects one-way audio in the downlink,
it sends a one-way audio ACK/NACK message to the BSC. If the BTS receives a one-way audio ACK
message from the BSC, the BTS confirms the occurrence of one-way audio.
If one-way audio occurs, the BSC records the information about the resources occupied by a call in a
voice channel fault detection log. The resources are the BTS, cell, carrier, channel, GUPCS subsystem,
as well as the A, Abis interfaces. The detection scope does not entail the data sent from the RF units to
MSs and from the GUPCS subsystem to the CN.
