Here We Are (1/3)

And here we are

Lifting our hands to You
Here we are
Giving You thanks for all You do
As we praise and worship Your Holy Name
You are here dwelling within our praise
Here We Are (2/3)
For every answered prayer
For always being there
For love that hears us when we call
For arms that lift us when we fall
You have always been right beside us
Leading us all along the way
And we've made it through
Because of You
Here We Are (3/3)
For days we cannot see
For al that's yet to be
The trials we may have to face
When we'll be leaning on Your grace
It will be Your strength that saves us
Your love that makes us strong
And through it all we'll sing this song

Psalm 95, an invitation to praise
1 Oh come, let us sing to the LORD;let us make a 7 For he is our God, and we are the people of his
joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! pasture, and the sheep of his hand. Today, if you hear
his voice,
2 Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let
us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise! 8 do not harden your hearts, as at Meribah, as on the
day at Massah in the wilderness,
3 For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above
all gods. 9 when your fathers put me to the test and put me to the
proof, though they had seen my work.
4 In his hand are the depths of the earth; the heights of
the mountains are his also. 10 For forty years I loathed that generation and said,
“They are a people who go astray in their heart, and
5 The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed they have not known my ways.”
the dry land.
11 Therefore I swore in my wrath, “They shall not enter
6 Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel my rest.”
before the LORD, our Maker!

Thanksgiving brings Praise
● Thanksgiving moves our heart to look at God
● We give thanks for what we receive
● We praise for who God is

Praise brings true worship

Worship is an act not an emotion
● To worship is to bow down
● To worship is to give one self to God as Jesus
on the Cross
● To worship is to sacrifice and to surrender
● Our highest act of worship is in the Eucharist
– We give ourselves to God through Jesus's
sacrifice on the cross

Catholic worship comes in the Silence
● (CCC 2628) ... Adoration is homage of the
spirit to the "King of Glory," respectful silence
in the presence of the "ever greater" God.
● Prayer is an act of love, words are not needed.
Even if sickness distracts from thoughts, all that
is needed is the will to love." -- St. Theresa of
Avila

Conversion is our response
● If today you hear His voice, harden not your
heart

Think About His Love (1/2)
Think about His love
Think about His goodness
Think about His grace
That's brought us through
For as high as the heaven's above
So great is the measure
Of our Father's love
Great is the measure of our Father's love
Think About His Love (2/2)
How could I forget His love
How could I forget His mercy
He satisfies, He satisfies
He satisfies my desires
Blessed be the Name of the Lord
Blessed be the name of the Lord,
He is worthy to be praised and adored;
So we lift up holy hands in one accord,
singing "Blessed be the name,
blessed be the name,
blessed be the name of the Lord!"
I Give You My Heart (1/2)
This is my desire to honour You
Lord, with all my heart I worship You
All I have within me I give You praise
All that I adore is in You
I Give You My Heart (2/2)
Lord, I give You my heart,
I give You my soul
I live for You alone
Every breath that I take,
Every moment I'm awake
Lord, have Your way in me
