Adaptor Plate
To comply with ANSI standards on 7 Bolt Circle fittings,
MPS has adopted the use of 1 adapter plates 5-7
shown here. The top adapter plate, when needed, has
integral slotted holes to facilitate alignment during erection
of bus supports.
The use of adaptor plates increases the height of the
insulators by 1 or 2. For retrofitting, it is possible to
adjust the total height to the original TR value.

Corona (grading) Ring: Recommended for most applications with

BIL 900kV. At lower voltages, corona rings may be
considered for areas of high local contamination, and/or with
altitudes > 3300 ft. Where MPS considers them necessary,
corona rings will be included.
