Photo Directory Thank You!

Thanks to all parishioners who had their photo taken for
our parish directory. If you were unable to come for a
photo appointment, you may send in a digital photo.

SAN DIEGO

For all of you are children of the

light and children of the day.

If you opted not to purchase additional photos, your free

8 x 10 portrait will be sent to the parish office, and you

the layout of the directories and hope to have them ready
in the next couple of months.
Last, but not least, we wish to thank all our volunteers
who helped sign up parishioners for photo appointments,

Holiday Food Baskets

We are currently collecting nonperishable food donations for the
Thanksgiving and Christmas Basket
distribution. Please bring your donations to the boxes at the entrance to the
Church. The giving of food baskets to
needy families during the holidays has
been an ongoing sign of the parish's
generosity and of Stewardship in action. For questions, call Ed Ancmon at (858) 356-8111 or
Shawn Quinn at (858) 278-0526. Thanks for your help!

Mass Intentions
Our calendar for Mass intentions is filled up through the
end of 2014. We are taking requests for 2015. If you have
a special date in mind for a Mass intention, it is best to
reserve it sooner rather than later.

Food Drive
The local Knights of Columbus are collecting nonperishable food items for the 'Catholic Charities Food
Bank'. There is a box at the main Church entrance. For
questions, call Ed Ancmon (858) 356-8111.

Youth Group News

Thanksgiving Dinner with our Marines...The
youth are adopting service men from Camp Pendleton
for Thanksgiving Dinner. It will be prepared and served
here at St. Columba. We need to transport them here
and bring them back at the end of the day. We have volunteer families who will be cooking and serving our service men, giving up their time with their own extended
families for this ministry. If anyone would like to help
with this project by contributing food or money to help
the youth, please call Robin at 619-922-7941 or email
robin.keator@yahoo.com. You may also drop off your
donations to the Ministry Center.
