ENGINEERING-GEODETIC RESEARCHES

We carry out engineering-geodetic surveys on territories with any

intensity of settlements and relief complexity using modern two-frequency GPS receivers
produced by Trimble, two-system receivers produced by THALES NAVIGATION
and Topcon Positioning Systems combined with professional tachometers, levels,
universal equipment for underground communication tracing (Germany, USA). The
advanced measuring techniques provide a high productivity and required accuracy of
measurement (1-3 cm). The resulted cartographic information is submitted in AutoCad
and Microstation systems... More
ENGINEERING-GEOLOGICAL SURVEY
Engineering-geological survey is an integration of geological, hydrogeological,
geophysical, drilling and mining works. Engineering-geological surveys, well-drilling,
static ground sounding by TEST-K2 unit, field testing and ground approbation combined
with express engineering geophysics provide the necessary and sufficient data required to
design any objects under any most complicated conditions. The most modern domestic
and overseas equipment is used for geophysical operations.
ENGINEERING-ECOLOGICAL SURVEY
Engineering-ecological survey is accomplished in regions with natural hazardous
processes, monitoring of technical impact to the top of subsurface due to intensive
developments of oil and gas fields, coal and other mineral deposits.
ENGINEERING SERVICES

Engineering services include basement of route selection for

pipeline facilities, various informative-reference data, high professional consultations on
geology, geophysics and geodetic, appraisal of reliability and quality of engineering
prospecting.

Project-researching work

Project-researching work, besides engineering-geodetic surveys,

include the combination of geological, hydrological, geophysical, drilling and mining
operations. Airborne visual and field study of territory and geo-morphological landscape,
engineering-geological prospecting, core and auger drilling, field testing and sampling of
grounds in combination with express engineering geophysics provide the volume of data
required and significant for designing any objects in the heaviest conditions. Geophysical
researches are conducted with advanced equipment both of overseas and domestic
manufacturers.
Oil and Gas: Exploration and Production
All phases of oil and gas exploration benefit from the high-resolution three dimensional
imagery and local mapping that can be produced from a LiDAR data set.
These needs range from pre-deployment support to post operational scouting for
verification that the environment has been restored to a level allowing the return of
deposits and bonds.
Exploration is a major market for our services because funding and approvals happen
rapidly and projects can take place in as little as one to three months from the submission
of a proposal. The speed of imagery and map data delivery has become a dominant
selling feature in this market.
The principals of DigitalWorld have provided these services to a number of oil and gas
companies over the last several years with enthusiastic acceptance.
Environmental Monitoring
Of the many potential areas of interest within the environmental monitoring arena the
area with the most direct funding is the clean up of man made waste dumps and unused
pipelines.
In the past, these projects have utilized an IR camera system, together with video georeferencing techniques to map old oil pipelines that have become the subject of legal
disputes related to oil leakage and contamination.
DigitalWorld believes there is a significant amount of such work available on behalf of
oil and gas distribution companies who have limited data on the deterioration of the many
thousands of miles of abandoned pipeline within the US and Canada.

LiDAR was used to estimate the amount of material to be removed from the Twin Towers
site in New York City after 9-11.
