Hodsons

#2. In Creation, God Established the Pattern of Resting One Day in Seven. In keeping
the Lords Day holy, we are following the example that God Himself set for us. Six days
you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a sabbath of the LORD your
God; in it you shall not do any work, you or your son or your daughter, your male or your
female servant or your cattle or your sojourner who stays with you. 11 For in six days the
LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them, and rested on the
seventh day; therefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day and made it holy. (Exodus

Hebrews 11:24-27 "By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be called the son of
Pharaoh's daughter, 25 choosing rather to endure ill-treatment with the people of God than
to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, 26 considering the reproach of Christ greater riches
than the treasures of Egypt; for he was looking to the reward. 27 By faith he left Egypt, not
fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured, as seeing Him who is unseen."
Psalm 63:1 "O God, You are my God; I shall seek You earnestly; My soul thirsts for You,
my flesh yearns for You, In a dry and weary land where there is no water."
