Security:

T he Grabba is directly connected to the BlackBerry smartphone via the USB port (Bluetooth
is NOT used). This direct connection provides the ultimate in data security as nothing is ever
transmitted wirelessly and overcomes all the common complaints about Bluetooth. Grabba is an
expert in this type of communication and holds patents surrounding the Grabba USB connectivity.

Fast Operation:

Even after the BlackBerry smartphone wakes up from low power mode, the Grabba is ready
instantly to capture data. There is no waiting for pairing of Bluetooth or waiting for drivers to start.

Battery Power:

T he Grabba uses its own internal rechargeable battery to carry out all of its data collection tasks
leaving the smartphone battery solely for powering the BlackBerry smartphones. BlackBerry
smartphone battery will also last longer as the Bluetooth is not used by the Grabba.

Im a Software developer what tools do I need?

Blackberry Bold

The Grabba will work out of the box using the keyboard wedge driver that is available as a free download
from Grabba. This works by putting the captured data wherever the active field is. For complete control in
your application you can use the Grabba SDK. The FREE SDK is available to members of the Grabba Software
Developers Program.
With this SDK you can control where the data goes and have control over the Grabba operation. The SDK also
allows you to send data to the technologies that allow 2 way communications. Demonstration applications to
show you how to implement the Grabba code are included with the SDK.
