WorkstationTypicalSelectionGuidelines

Overview:
Workstylesingeneralarebecomingmorecollaborativeandopen,allowingfor
morecommonmeetingandstorageareasandreducedindividualfootprint.
TheworkstationtypicalsfortheStateofVermonthavebeendesignedto
accommodatedifferenttypesofworkstylesandstorageneeds. Someof
thetypicalchoicesallowforoptimalcollaboration,whileothersprovidethe
separationneededformoreindividualizedconcentration.

SelectionStandards:
1.
The6typicalstationlayoutsareshownintheWorkstationsOptions
pages.Thesedesignshavebeendevelopedtobestmeettheneeds
forStateofVermontEmployeesinconsiderationofuserfeedback.
Thetypicalstationscannotbemodifiedbyindividualagenciesor
endusers,exceptbyspecialrequesttomeetspecificergonomic
needs,withpermissionfromBGS.

Workstationtypicalselectionmustbeperstationclustereachcluster
mustconsistofthesametypical. Aclusterisagroupofconnected
stationsthatsharecommonpanelsandspinewall. Thesearetypically
groupsof6to8stations,butthesizeofaclustervariesbasedon
spaceavailability,structuralcolumns,programmingneeds,etc.

Eachindividualmaychoosefromanassortmentofpaper
managementandorganizationaltools. Thequantityoftoolsallowed
andalistoftoolswillbeprovidedatthetimeofselection.

4.

TackBoardswillbeorderedinequalquantitiesfromalistof
preselectedfinishes. Afterinstallationiscomplete,theremaybe
someabilityforemployeestoswapcolorswithoneanother.

5.

Typicalselectionsandorganizationaltoolselectionscannotbe
changedafterthepredefineddeadline.
