Current changes to ISO/TS

16949 Certification Scheme


based on revised IATF
Rules 4th Edition

As of October 1st 2013 with the release of revised version of IATF Rules (4th edition) for the automotive industry related to the
technical specification ISO/TS 16949, there have been some fundamental changes in the certification process. These changes
apply to the certified companies as well as to all of the International Automotive Task Force (IATF) approved certification bodies.

All certification activities (audits) that will occur from April 1st 2014; have to be performed according to the new certification rules. All
affected certificates must be adjusted no later than 01.04.2015.

The knowledge about the contents of the certification requirements, as well as the associated SIs (Sanctioned Interpretations) and the
FAQs are mandatory and essential for certified companies and certification bodies.

SIs and FAQs are available on IATFs homepage www.iatfglobaloversight.org for free.
