Back
With smaller needles, cast on 85(89-97-105-113-121) sts.
Ribbing: Row 1 (RS): K1, * p1, k1, rep from * across.
R ow 2: P1, * k1, p1, rep from * across. Rep these 2 rows until piece measures 1 from beg, end on
RS. Change to larger straight needles and p the next row, dec 17 sts evenly spaced across 68(72-8088-96-104) sts. Work even in St st until piece measures 1 1/2 from beg, end on WS. Dec 1 st at each
end of next row, then every 1 1/4 3 times more 60(64-72-80-88-96) sts. Work even until piece
measures 7 1/2 from beg, end on WS. Inc 1 st each end of next row, then every 2 twice more 66(7078-86-94-102) sts. Work even until piece measures 13 1/2 from beg, end on WS. Mark beg and end of
last row for beg of armholes.
Shape Armholes: Dec Row (RS): K4, k3 tog, k to last 7 sts, sl 1, k2 tog, psso, k4 62(66-74-82-9098) sts. Rep this dec every other RS row 3 times more 50(54-62-70-78-86) sts. Work even until
armholes measure 8(8 1/2-8 1/2-9-9-9 1/2), end on WS. Bind off.

Left Front
With smaller needles, cast on 63(65-69-73-77-81) sts. Work in ribbing same as back for 1, end on RS.
Change to larger straight needles and p the next row, dec 12(13-13-13-13-13) sts evenly spaced across
51(52-56-60-64-68) sts. Work even in St st until piece measures 1 1/2 from beg, end on WS. Dec 1 st
at beg of the next row, then at same edge every 1 3/4 3 times more 47(48-52-56-60-64) sts. Work
even until piece measures 7 1/2 from beg, end on WS. Inc 1 st at beg of the next row, then at same
edge every 2 twice more 50(51-55-59-63-67) sts. Work even until piece measures 13 1/2 from beg,
end on WS. Mark end of last row for beg of armhole.
Shape Armhole: Dec Row (RS): K4, k3 tog, k to end 48(49-53-57-61-65) sts. Rep this dec every
other RS row 3 times more. AT THE SAME TIME, when armhole measures 1(1 1/2-1 1/2-2-2-2 1/2),
end on RS.
Shape Neck: Bind off 10 sts, p to end. Continuing to work armhole decs if necessary, bind off 5 sts at
neck edge once, 4 sts once, 3 sts twice, 2 sts 3 times, then dec 1 st at neck edge every RS row 4 times
7(8-12-16-20-24) sts. Work even until armhole measures 8(8 1/2-8 1/2-9-9-9 1/2), end on WS. Bind
off.

Right Front
Work to correspond to left front, reversing all shaping. Dec and inc at side edge at end of RS rows.
Bind off for armhole and shoulder on WS rows. Work armhole decs at end of RS rows as sl 1, k2 tog,
psso, k4. When armhole measures 1/2(1-1-1 1/2-1 1/2-2), end on WS.
Buttonhole Row (RS): K6, bind off 2 sts, work to end.
Next Row: Purl, casting on 2 sts over sts bound off on previous row. Bind off for neck at beg of RS
rows.

Sleeves
With smaller needles, cast on 49 sts. Work even in ribbing same as back for 3, end on RS. Change to
larger straight needles and p the next row, dec 11 sts evenly spaced across 38 sts. Work in St st, inc 1
st each side every 2 3/4(2 3/4-2-1 1/2-1 1/4-1) 5(5-7-9-11-13) times 48(48-52-56-60-64) sts. Work
even until sleeve measures 18 from beg, end on WS. Mark beg and end of last row for beg of cap.
Shape Cap: Dec Row 1 (RS): K4, k3 tog, k to last 7 sts, sl 1, k2 tog, psso, k4 44(44-48-52-56-60)
sts. Rep this dec every RS row 0(0-0-0-2-2) times more, end on WS 44(44-48-52-48-52) sts.
Dec Row 2 (RS): K4, k2 tog, k to last 6 sts, SSK, k4 42(42-46-50-46-50) sts. Rep this dec every RS
row 10(6-10-10-8-8) times more, then every other RS row 0(2-0-0-0-0) time more, end on WS. Bind off
remaining 22(26-26-30-30-34) sts.

Finishing
Sew shoulder seams. Sew in sleeves, matching markers. Sew side and sleeve seams.
Collar: With RS facing, beg at right front edge, pick up and k175 sts around entire neck edge.
Row 1 (RS of collar): P1, * skip 1 st and k the 2nd st, then k the skipped st, p1, rep from * across.
Row 2: K1, * skip 1 st and p the 2nd st, then p the skipped st, k1, rep from * across. Rep these 2 rows
until collar measures 10 1/2, end on Row 2. Bind off loosely in ribbing. Lap right front over left front
and sew button to RS of left front underneath buttonhole.
Left Tie: With crochet hook, join yarn at beg of collar on left front edge and chain for 11. Fasten off.
Right Tie: With crochet hook, join yarn in right side seam on inside of garment 1 1/2 down from
sleeve and chain for 11. Fasten off.
