Spelling Bee
" Spelling Bee " is the title given to a student who is an expert in spelling . To
identify this individual spelling contest will be held in which the students have to
spell a list of words that set. The winner is the student who can spell all the words
correctly given .

2. DEAR ( Drop Everythig and Read) Project


This is a project of extensive reading . Allocate time for 20 minutes or 30 minutes
a week is held to provide opportunities for students , teachers and school staff
reading material in English. Students may bring their own reading material or
borrow it from the school library.

3. Readathon
" Readathon " is a reading competition among students. At the required time
frame ( 3 to 6 months ) students are required to read as many books as possible.
Students are required to record all the titles of books read as evidence . The
winner is the student who has read most of the books.

4. Debate
Language competition between classes is strongly encouraged. This is due to
debate activities provide opportunities to students who have a good command
of English to show their abilities in arguing techniques . Indirectly, these students
will also be a " role model " to other students . Current topics and controversial
can be chosen as a stimulus to the debate sessions interesting , effective and
beneficial.

5. Quiz
The school can organize a quiz in English. Questions can be ranked on general
topics to topics such as sports specific , well-known personality , history and

geography. Students should be informed about the basic rules , especially


regarding the number of attempts allowed .

6. Language Games
Language games are very popular among students. Some examples of games
in the English language is that the game uses a card like " Happy Families" ,
oriented game " board " like " Monopoly " , " Totopoly " and apply the word
games like " Scrabble " and " Boggle " . Students should be encouraged to play
games like the above when there is space . The school or the Association of
English must provide sets this game to students . Competition language games
can also be organized .

7. Corridor of Knowledge
School corridor could be knowledge corridor . The walls of the corridor could
serve as a showcase of student writings such as essays , news in English and ban
other substances.

8. anagram
A word or phrase formed by rearranging the letters of another word or phrase.
The winner is the student who has most words.

9. big book
group of students create a big picture book version of a favorite story. Most
interesting big book will win.
