14. What of the type of the meeting ?


Various Kinds of Meetings
Meetings can be divided into several types, depending on the terms of its review.
1. According to its purpose, the meeting can be distinguished:
a) Meeting of explanation, the meeting is intended to give an explanation to the members, of the
measures taken by the leadership of the organization, about the working procedure or procedurenew ways of working, to get a uniformity of work.
b) Meeting of problem solving aims to find a solution on the issue at hand. A problem is said to be
solving that problem solving when dealing with other problems, each hook. The problem is so
difficult, so complicated because of the decision taken will have an influence or due to other
problems.
c) Meetings of negotiations, the meeting aims to avoid a dispute, find a middle ground so as not to
harm both parties.
2. According to the nature of the meeting can be divided into:
a) Formal Meeting, which is held meetings with a plan in advance, according to the applicable
regulations, and official participants received an invitation.
b) Informal Meeting, the meeting is held not by a formal planning, and can occur at any time,
anytime, anywhere, with anyone. Informal meetings can also happen by accident, in which the
participants met by chance, and then talk about a problem that has a common interest.
c) Open Meeting, the meeting may be attended by any member. Material covered is not a matter
that is confidential.
d) Closed Meeting, the meeting which was attended only by the participant, and usually are covered
concerning matters that are still confidential.
3. According to the time period, the meeting can be distinguished:
a) weekly meeting, the meeting is held once a week. Addresses the issues that are routinely faced by
each manager.
b) monthly meeting, the meeting is held once a month, every month and to discuss things or events
that occur in the last month. For example, discusses the income statement months ago.
c) semi-annual meeting, the meeting is held once every semester [six months], which aims to conduct
evaluation work on the same six months ago, and take the next steps, the next six-month period.
d) Annual Meeting, the meeting is held once a year for example, the Board of Commissioners
meeting, the general meeting of shareholders.
4. According to the frequency, can be distinguished:
a) regular meetings, meeting a specified time [weekly, monthly, yearly]
b) Meetings of incidental ie not based on a schedule of meetings, depending on the problem at hand.
Typically meetings are held when the problems facing it is very urgent problem, which should be
solved.
In addition we know different kinds of meetings as mentioned above, we still know one type of
meeting is called a working meeting.
Other terms that have the same sense, is the official meetings, musyawarh work. The workshop is a
gathering of employees / leaders to discuss matters relating to the performance of duties of an
agency. A meeting or meetings may be called a working meeting if it has the following characteristics:
1. The existence of the purpose of the meeting,
2. The presence of the group leaders and participants in the meeting or the meeting.
3. The exchange of opinions among the participants of the meeting,
4. No speeches
