-Provide PD on IXL Math with all teachers
Activities:
Teachers attend PD at the beginning, middle, and end of year to focus on:
o Introduction of new tool by the technology facilitator (TF) and consultants
o Discussion of how to use this tool and resource in the classroom
o Teachers and outside consultant share ideas of how to get the parents involved on the site
o How to use an assessment to determine the objective needed for individual students

Analysis of the Teacher Technology Survey indicates that
21 of the 37 teachers feel they have mastered this and are
comfortable showing others how to accomplish this. 6
teachers feel comfortable doing this without help, 8
teachers need help in order to accomplish this, and only 2
teachers said they have never done this before.

Decisions
Summary of Results (Interpretation of Data):
In general, the majority of the teachers are consistently checking student data in IXL Math. Most teachers are doing
this at least on a weekly basis, if not daily. Teachers find the student data provided to be useful and they
appreciated the student progress data showed.
Overall, only 48% of the teachers are comfortable assigning specific standards to target student learning. Data
analysis revealed that 52% of the teachers needed assistance in this area of using IXL Math.
Next Steps (Action Steps):
Based on the analysis of the data collected, some recommendations for increasing the number of teachers
consistently checking student data next year include the following:
o Have teachers spend one PLC a month with the TF analyzing student data collectively as a group.
o Partner teachers up with another teacher who feels comfortable with this resource so they can go to each
other for questions and hold each other accountable.
Based on the analysis of the data collected, some recommendations for increasing the use of data to enhance
classroom lessons and target student learning next year include the following:
o A beginning of the year PD on how to analyze IXL Math data and target individual student needs in the
classroom.
o Set up a bi-monthly schedule for TF to work one-on-one with teachers to better analyze data and talk
through how to decide which standard a child should be working on.
o Have teachers spend one PLC a month with the TF analyzing student data collectively as a group and
ask any questions for enhancing classroom lessons and student learning at this time.
Why did you do it? (Objective): Teachers use new resource and tool in teaching

Hold Monthly Tech Sessions:
o Discuss any questions or concerns with the program
o Help set up a new student
o Help teachers determine what objectives students need to be working on (for each individual student)
