Project Charter

1. Scope Overview
This project includes construction of building with solar panels in village Rosulje, near
town Teanj. The team will also have to acquire all legal permits for building solar plant.
Final stage of the project is process of buying and installation of solar panels.

2. Business Case
This would be a pilot project in order to test the feasibility, efficiency and profitability
which will determine investment in similar projects in future. Returns are expected to
come in last then 10 years as predicted, which indicate creation of profit and efficiency
returns.

3. Background
Because of the large size of unused space on the roof of planned building, company
decide to engage in project of construction solar panels. Because this is a pilot project,
company will only install solar panels on the roof of one building. This pilot project will
show the profitability of these projects and possibility of investing in same in the future.

4. Milestones
The first point includes starting resource and preparation for the future needs. In this
process we will need to collect all needed data about profitability and effectiveness of
project and identifying number of people and amount of money needed. Second, very
important step is to research all legislative in Bosnia and Herzegovina that regulates solar
energy in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This phase is completed when all papers are
collected. Second phase of this project is process of selection of suppliers for solar panel
which needs to be ordered from abroad. Team members will need to contact potential
suppliers and decide which one is the best. The last phase of this project is installation of
material. This phase will be completed as system starts to work and collect money.

5. Risk
It is very important to analyze as many as possible factors that can be harmful for the
project and prevent them on time. Also very important are assumptions, because they
support the planning process. In this project it is very important to have true and real
assumptions, which would save money and time. Constrains are in project also very
needed because they limit the resource and so increase efficiency. Potential risks are:

Legislature- complicated and slow legislature

Unpredicted costs

Inadequate equipment

Lack of skilled personnel

Timing

Unforeseeable circumstance

6. Budget estimate and spending approval


The budget for this project is estimated to be 2 000 000 KM in order to properly complete
all the goals of the project. The cost that this budget includes is: cost of building
construction, planning, buying and operating solar panels.

7. Stakeholder list
This project request large number of people involved. The main stakeholder is our
company and its employees. Other stakeholders are government office, suppliers and
public.

8. Team operating principle


This project has a project manager, but other members of team are equally important and
are involved in everything about the project. Some of out teams principles are:

Team members should be well prepared for every meeting and if one of the
members missed some of the previous meeting, he or she should be regularly
informed about all issues from that meeting.

Meeting will normally last for up to 90 minutes.

Team leader together with other team members sets deadlines.

Team leader should prepare agenda for every meeting

9. Lessons learned- Each project is different by itself, so a lot of things can be learned and
a lot of experience can be gained from doing previous projects. Some of lessons learned
should be:

All members should share good and bad previous experiences.

Any changes should be identified as soon as possible.

Use weekly updates on project progress in order to avoid any problems.

Review previous events for specific lessons.
