Start By:

A. Remove the piston pump (hydraulic and steering). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Piston
Pump (Hydraulic and Steering) - Remove" for the correct procedure.
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the
component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal
mechanisms.

the valve assembly.

25. Use Tooling (A) in order to remove bearing cup (40) from head (31) .

30. For assembly purposes, place identification marks on pistons (51). The position of the
identification marks should correspond to the position of barrel (52) and plate (53). Remove piston
assemblies (51) and remove plate (53) from barrel (52) .

31. Use Tooling (D) and use a press in order to compress spring (56). Use Tool (B) in order to remove
retaining ring (54) from barrel (52) .
32. Remove the following parts from barrel (52) : retaining ring (54), spacer (57), spring (56) and
spacer (55) .

33. For assembly purposes, note the orientation of swashplate (44) to housing (26). Remove
swashplate (44). Remove shaft (59) and bearing (58) from housing (26) .
