Project Summary
The study is about a handy lie detector test using a 9v-battery source. The lie detector was based on
the device used in the movie "Batman Forever", but this time is much handy. The lie detector
obviously comes with finger straps as its probes.

Introduction
A handy lie detector is an electronic device used for getting information from a the subject. It gives a
true or false answer. Still, this is not reliable because it can only detect some of the signs of telling a
lie, such as perspiration, pulse beat and vibrations.

Purpose

The study intends to develop the basic circuitry of a lie detector. This also aims to find what triggers
the indicators so that the device can detect a person is untruthful. It also challenges the researchers
to use some of the electronic components.

Scope

The study limits itself in assembling a handy lie detector which uses a 9v-battery source. The
research was done with a basic circuitry, that it may give inaccurate answers. The study do not
intend to use the lie detector for legal and police interrogations. The results may also show
unreliable answers for it only depends on the resistance of the subject (the higher the resistance, the
false indicator will lit).

Procedure
The design had undergone series of process.
1. Collect the components needed
2. Test the components
3. Assemble the circuit on the breadboard according to the schematic
4. Place the circuit on the universal printed circuit board
5. Check the connections of each of the components
6. Solder the components on the universal PCB
7. Connect the jumper wires to the output terminals
8. Connect jumper wires to the potentiometer
9. Connect to the battery
