The theory of the origin of religion states that around 6000 years ago hunter-gatherer humans started farming and because
they had so much time they started formulating religious theories. Many have clung to this understanding and some
notable men have either proposed or lend support; making their thoughts of religion and God very explicit.

Charles Darwin Origin of Species stated The mystery of the beginning of all things is insoluble by us; and I for
one must be content to remain an agnostic. THAT IS, HE WAS NOT SURE IF GOD EXIST OR NOT. IF HE DID SOMEONE ELSE
HAS THE BURDEN OF PROOF.

Karl Marx (Communist Manifesto) stated Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless
world, and the soul of soulless conditions. It is the opium of the people". THAT IS, RELIGION IS A DRUG FOR THE WEAK
MINDED.

Richard Dawkins (God Delusion) states The God of the Old Testament is arguably the most unpleasant character
in all fiction: jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control-freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a
misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic,
capriciously malevolent bully. THAT IS, GOD IS A FICTION AND AN EXTREMELY BAD EXAMPLE FOR SOCIETY TODAY.

According to the biblical history of mankind the first book of the bible states:
Gen1: *29+ Then God said, I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit
with seed in it. They will be yours for food.
[30] And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground
everything that has the breath of life in itI give every green plant for food. And it was so.
Gen 2: [15] The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.
It appears mankind was not a hunter [killing animals] in the beginning but already a farmer. Moreover the bible adds man
was on the very day of his creation able to observe, speak and think. In fact he was adult and so to was the creation (trees,
birds, animals, rocks, oceans etc.)
If man created religion during farming would he not have recognised through observation that the world could not be
created [the world and everything in it] in 6 days and therefore come up with some other kind of explanation? For example
many years ago, or millions of years or billions of years ago. Wait a minute modern man has!!!
Interestingly the biblical creation story and the modern evolutionary story represents a major stumbling block for many
individuals. They recognise the two cannot mix [like oil and water]. Supporting the biblical creation story are the numerous
historical data of the development of the nations of the east contained in the bible. Previous post have looked at many
evidences supporting the bible.
Rom 15: [4] For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in
the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.
When persons such as those identified above come up against these claims they postulate firstly to doubt the existence of
God and then attack his nature. Look at what was born as a result, naturalism [evolution], communism and atheism, all of
which offer hopelessness. It required individuals to live life in a survival of the fittest mindset.
The Old Testament and the New Testament describes the same God.
OLD TESTAMENT
Ex 34: *6+ And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, The Lord the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger,
abounding in love and faithfulness,[7] maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin. Yet he
does not leave the guilty unpunished
Deut 7: [9] Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand
generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.
NEW TESTAMENT
1Jh 4: [8] Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
1 Cor 13: [4] Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. [5] It does not dishonor others,
it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. [6] Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with
the truth. [7] It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. [8] Love never fails...

We must never forget the same OT God is the NT God, throughout the OT God has always given humanity second chances
(numerous) despite rebellion and wickedness. THIS MOST CERTAINLY OPPOSITE TO THE SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST
MINDSET
Heb 11: [1] Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
In summary
Evolution requires faith; as no one was present when it happened and the missing link is still missing. It offers a naturalistic
explanation to life and hopelessness during and thereafter.
Creation requires faith; as no one saw God create, but he ask us to look at the evidence recorded in the bible and find what
is missing in our lives. It offers a supernatural explanation to life and hope during and thereafter.
Is this a drug as Karl Marx puts it, or is this truth?
