How do I design a cellular or PCS site using HELIAX foam cable?

A. Andrew Antenna System Planner (AASP) automatically calculates a bill of

materials (BOM) for your site parameters. The BOM includes antennas, jumpers,
main feeders, surge arrestors, grounding kits, cable hangers, hoisting grips, and
more. AASP makes bids and proposals easy. It calculates quantities for all
accessories taking into account the tedious spacing and pack quantity variables.
It allows you to create templates for typical site configurations, which can then be
exported to Microsoft Excel multiplies by the number of sited you need, from 1
to 1000. Each site can then be looked at individually and its design parameters
can be customized when you are ready to place the materials order.
>> Select components using the wizard >> Press the 'Next' button >> Repeat
until finished
Q. How do I design a microwave point-to-point system?
A. Andrew Microwave System Planner (AMSP) automatically calculated a BOM
for all of your site parameters. The BOM includes antennas, waveguide,
grounding kits, hangers, pressurization, and more. The AMSP integrates the
TMW RPE and TMW PNB programs for viewing radiation pattern envelopes and
specifying antenna options.
>> Select components using the wizard >> Press the 'Next' button >> Repeat
until finished
Q. How do I choose a base station antenna?
A. BSA Select displays specifications and radiation pattern envelope
information on the complete line of Andrew base station antennas. It allows you
to view up to four antennas overlaid for easy comparison. It also exports to 17 of
the most popular propagation software formats.
>> Select the antennas >> Select the rotation angle >> Print the specifications or
RPE plot
Q. How do I know if I can get a TMW antenna for a 6 GHz antenna with a
CPR flange, grey with a white teglar radome and no flash?
A. TMW Part Number builder distills all possible part number combinations into a
two step process that builds only valid part numbers.
>> Use the wizard to select a frequency range, select the antenna type, select
the antenna, select the flange type, radome, shield, and color options, select
packing >> View the custom part number, custom description, and custom price
Q. How do I choose a jumper assembly?
A. CableMaster guides you through the jumper specification process and
generates a variable length part number, standard (stocked) length part number,

or a list of materials for your custom jumper configuration.

>> Use the wizard to select a frequency range, cable or connector type, cable
grade, connector grade, and attachment method >> View the part numbers,
description, and price along with attenuation, efficiency, max power, average
power, and insertion loss
Q. How do I quickly view cable loss/performance specifications?
A. ILCALC calculates insertion loss, peak power, average power, efficiency,
and more for all foam cables, air cables, and elliptical waveguide.
>> Select a cable type >> Select the desired cable
Q. How do I get TMW antenna specifications to file with the FCC?
A. AntDes shows all TMW antenna specifications and RPEs for antennas from
335 MHz to 58.2 MHz.
>> Select your antenna >> print the plot and data
Q. How do I select rectangular waveguide components?
A. ezGuide walks you through the specification process and validates your
choices automatically. Upon completion you receive a part number and price.
>> Use the wizard to select a product type >> Select a waveguide >> Select
flanges >> Select length >> Click the Create button
Q. How do I select pressurization components?
A. PSI Select configures pressurization systems. Upon completion the program
generates a list of part numbers for your system.
>> Select the transmission line type >> Click the Add Run button
Q. How do I select the part I need without a wizard to help me?
A. IQ Master allows you to select items from a comprehensive database OR
build custom items from any of the support programs. This includes complete
systems from the AASP, AMSP, CableMaster, and others. The IQ Master is
integrated with the AASP, AMSP, BSA Select, CableMaster, ILCALC, TMW Part
Number Builder, and PSI Select. Product documentation, including installation
instructions, application briefs, and reference information is continually added to
the IQ Master database.
>> Start typing the part number in the Part Number box >> IQ Master matches
your keystrokes dynamically to the closest part number in the database
