In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of Gods grace (Eph.
1:7).
Muslims do not believe in the fallen nature of man or in the idea that sin is rebellion against their Creator God. They
consider works as the way to please God and reach heaven. Let's pray that the Holy Spirit will convict them of their sin and
their need for forgiveness, so that they may truly have a relationship with the Father and eternal life with Him.*
In the News
This past Tuesday, 5 church leaders were arrested and a Presbyterian Evangelical Church congregation dispersed in
Khartoum, Sudan. They were guarding church property that authorities claim must be ceded to a Muslim businessman.
Several homes and a church wall on the compound were bulldozed this past week. According to Morning Star News,
Harassment, arrests and persecution of Christians have intensified since the secession of South Sudan, when
[President] Bashir vowed to adopt a stricter version of sharia (Islamic law) and recognize only Islamic culture and the
Arabic language. On August 24, a Pentecostal church was closed down. Please pray for our brothers and sisters in
Sudan, that the Lord will give them wisdom as they serve Him in difficult times. Pray that their lives would attract
seeking Muslims to Jesus. See more at http://tinyurl.com/kmovkop.
