Who Should Attend?
Featured Speakers:
4-H or open show judges, applicants for the
Pennsylvania 4-H judges list, coaches and senior
members (14-18 yrs of age) of 4-H horse judging
teams, and show managers and committee
members.
Registration will be accepted by mail
through February 6, 2010.
Return the completed registration form with
payment by February 6, 2010 and your registration
will be confirmed by e-mail if one is provided. Mail.
Late registrations postmarked after this date must
pay an additional charge of $15 per person to
register. Walk-in registrations will be accepted as
space allows.
The fee of $85 (or $50 for youth 14-18 yrs of age)
includes all costs of instruction and instructional
materials, beverage breaks, and lunch on Saturday
and Sunday. Please indicate any special dietary
needs on your registration form.

Reservations should be made directly with the
hotel. Reserve rooms early. There is no block of
rooms for the judging school. For driving

Cancellation
The University reserves the right to cancel or
postpone any course activity due to insufficient
enrollment, inclement weather or other unforeseen
circumstances. If the conference is canceled or
postponed, the University will refund registration
fees but cannot be held responsible for other costs,
charges or expenses, including cancellation/change
charges assessed by airlines or travel agencies.
Registration refund
Refunds will be made in full for cancellations
received in writing by February 6, 2010. No
refunds will be issued for cancellations after
this date.

Dr. Bob Mowrey: Professor and Extension Horse
Commodity Coordinator at North Carolina State
University. Dr. Mowrey is a judge for AQHA, PHBEA,
and the National Snaffle Bit Association. He has
judged breed shows across the United States and in
Canada as well as State 4-H Horse Shows of ten
University Park, PA 16802

The Department of Dairy and Animal Science
states including Pennsylvania. Dr. Mowrey has also
coached the North Carolina State 4-H Horse Judging
team to multiple contest wins at many national
contests.
Ms. Andrea Wells: Andrea holds USEF and CEF “R”
PA 4-H Horse
licenses for hunters, jumpers and hunt seat equitation,
and has judged the Canadian Equestrian Federation Judges and
Regional Finals, New England Medal Finals, Delmar
and many other major horse shows throughout the
United States and Canada. In addition, she has been

closely involved with intercollegiate riding for the past
15 years. Ms. Wells sits on the ANRC, IHSA, USHJA,
and other boards and committees
School
Ms. Wendy Gruskiewicz: Wendy began her judging
career as a 4-H member in Ohio. She is currently a
licensed judge with United States Equestrian
Federation for Arabians and Friesians, also holding an
American Miniature Association judge's card. Wendy
has judged the United States Arabian National
Championships twice, the Canadian Arabian National
Championships and the South African Arabian
Championships.
