objectives?)

(1B) Identify upper- and

lower case letters

Used first grade TEKS as a

reference guide.

Strategies for reading

assessment and
instruction chapter 4
pg106-107.

I write uppercase and

lower case Bs and Ds on
a paper or board and tell
the student This baby b
will grow up to look like
big B.
A baby d will not!
Baby d always look at
daddy Dd
Also I would introduce a
trick to remember when
looking at the word bed.
b is at the head of the
bed. D is at the end of the
bed. B comes before d in
the alphabet. And we read
left to right so b looks
right into ds eye
Im going to collect three
worksheets. To see how he
got the concept about
punctuation. Two of those
worksheet is about finding
lower b and the other one
for lower d. The student is
to find and circle the
specific letter. Observing
that the student is
pointing to the
punctuation marks. Also
hearing his tone of voice

Im teaching this letters

because Connor confused
his lower case b and d
when doing the letter
identity.
Im going to help him to
distinguish the differences
between these two letters.
By providing an
explanation, pictures,
writing, and a fun activity.
