ABSTRAK

Banda Aceh merupakan suatu daerah yang rawan terhadap gempa dan
tsunami karena terletak pada lempengan patahan pulau Sumatera dan sebahagian
besar wilayahnya berupa pesisir pantai. Rumoh Aceh merupakan rumah khas Aceh
sebagai kearifan lokal dalam menghadapi bencana terutama bencana gempa dan
tsunami.
Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis pengaruh pengetahuan, pengalaman,
kebutuhan dan harapan terhadap persepsi Tokoh Masyarakat Aceh tentang rumoh
Aceh sebagai kearifan lokal dalam menghadapi bencana gempa dan tsunami. Jenis
penelitian ini adalah survei eksplanatori. Populasi adalah Tokoh Masyarakat Adat
(tuha peut) setiap desa yang ada di Kota Banda Aceh yang berjumlah 90 orang yang
tersebar di 9 kecamatan. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara menggunakan kuesioner
dan dianalisis dengan regresi linier berganda pada = 0.05.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara statistik variabel pengetahuan,
pengalaman, dan harapan tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap persepsi
Tokoh Masyarakat Aceh tentang rumoh Aceh sebagai kearifan lokal dalam
menghadapi bencana gempa dan tsunami. Variabel yang paling berpengaruh terhadap
persepsi hanya kebutuhan ( = 5,4I).
Majelis Pemangku Adat disarankan agar dapat mensosialisasikan kembali
kepada Tokoh Masyarakat Aceh untuk meningkatkan parsepsi Tokoh Masyarakat
mengenai manfaat dan fungsi rumoh Aceh dan bagi peneliti selanjutnya agar dapat
meneliti bagaimana persepsi masyarakat tentng rumoh Aceh.

ABSTRACT
Banda Aceh is an area which is vulnerable to earthquake and tsunami
because it is located on the plate and fault of Sumatera Island and most of its area
lies along the coast. Rumoh Aceh is a specific Aceh traditional house functions as a
local wisdom in facing disaster especially the earthquake and tsunami.
The purpose of this explanatory survey study was to analyze the influence of
knowledge, experience, need and expectation on the perception of Aceh community
prominent figure about Rumoh Aceh as a local wisdom in facing earthquake and
tsunami disaster. The population of this study were 90 Aceh community adat
prominent figures (tuha peut) in each urban village spread in 9 sub-districts in the
city of Banda Aceh. The data for this study were obtained through questionnairebased interviewed and analyzed through multiple linear regression tests at = 0.05.
The result of this study showed that statistically the variables of knowledge,
experience, and expectation did not have significant influence on the perception of
Aceh community prominent figure about Rumoh Aceh as a local wisdom in facing
earthquake and tsunami disaster. The variable of need was the most influencing
variable on the perception ( = 5.41).
The Municipal Government of Banda Aceh especially the Adat Council is
suggested to cooperate with Banda Aceh Public Work Service and the Banda Aceh
Legislative Assembly to design the concept of Rumoh that can anticipate the disaster.
The Aceh community prominent figure is expected to be able to socialize it to the
society.
