Sayyidinah Muhammad and Upon His family and companions.

In defence of Sayyida Nisa al Alameen (upon her be peace)

Recently a short clip has been brought to my attention regarding the noble
daughter of The Messenger of Allah salAllahu alayhi wa Aalhi wassallam, namely
Sayyida Fatimah az Zahra (radiAllahu anha) by a young Ustadh and I use this
term Ustadh lightly.

The clip in question is from a YouTube video, in which the speaker who goes by
the name Abu Bakr Banaras makes fatal flaws and frankly uses most
disrespectful language for Sayyidah Zahra (radiAllahu anha) and Imam Ali
(RadiAllahu anh) not only does he use words which a person would not use for
their own mother, but he also adds his own words to narrations, which clearly
shows that he is unfit to speak in public, at least regarding the Ahlul Bayt alayhis
salaam.

I have taken his words from his speech1 and presented them below with the
timing of the video noted and I will mention why they are problematic despite
the reasons being most obvious. A transcript of Mr Banaras blunders has been
written in red together with the timing at which he has mentioned these in the
video.

1) 3:04 Sayyida Fatima was more of a daddys girl

Well, what if I say Shaykh Muhammad al Yaqoubi is more of a daddys boy

This will no doubt cause uproar amongst the mureeds and would be seen as a
insult to the Shaykh, you will hear cries of Ghustaki, no adab, why bring the
Shaykh into it yet here Mr Abu Bakr Banaras is calling Sayyida Nisa al Alameen a
Daddys girl thereby not only insinuating that Sayyida (alayhis salaam) is
childish but giving an impression of her being spoilt and immature and I
challenge Mr Abu Bakr Banaras to show me a single narration where it mentions
she was a daddys girl.

Yet despite this none of the teachers and senior mureeds have spoken up against
this.

2) 3:09 If you were to describe a daddys girl Sayyida Fatima has that
relationship with RasulAllah salAllahu alayhi wa Aalihi wassallam

Why doesnt Mr Abu Bakr Banaras describe what a daddys girl is? Whilst he is at
it, maybe he should also tell us what a daddys boy is?

3) 3:23 When Sayyidina Ali proposed to her, the Prophet salAllahu alahi wa
Aalihi wassallam thought about it and he goes Am I going to give a piece of my
heart to Sayyidinah Ali a.s

I have no idea where Mr Banaras got this one from. The narration in fact is as
follows:

Abdullah bin Masud (radiAllahu anhu) narrates that the Holy Prophet (salAllahu
alayhi wa Aalihi wassallam) said, Allah has ordered me to arrange Fatimahs
(alayhis salaam) marriage with Ali (alayhis salaam)2

So where has Mr Banaras got The Prophet thought about it and goes am I going
to give a piece of my heart to Ali? Where has this narration Mr Banaras quotes
come from? Or has he made it up?

Not only am I questioning him on the quote he mentions, but I am also asking, is
this how you speak about Sayyidinah RasoolAllah salAllahu alayhi wa Aalihi
wassallam by saying and he GOES? What kind of adab is this? Is this how you
mention Him salAllahu alayhi wa Aalihi wassallam?

4) 3:30 And He salAllahu alayhi wa Aalihi wassallam gave it due to him
being his cousin and being in good hands

Where has he got this from? Due to being his cousin? Astaghfirullah. Mr Banaras
must reference this. Until then the reader should ponder on this following
narration:

The Messenger of Allah salAllahu alayhi wa Aalihi wassallam said, Oh Ans! Do
you know what message Jibraeel has brought from the Owner of the Throne?
Then He salAllahu alayhi wa Aalihi wassallam said, Allah has ordered me to
arrange Fatimahs marriage with Ali3

5) 5:58 Even after my demise I do not want no man or no person to see the
figure of my body

Can Mr Banaras again provide a reference to these words. What if I said The
janaza of Abu Bakr Banaras sister was really good, nobody could see her figure

How would he or others feel? Yet its okay to say this about Sayyida Nisa al
Alameen (alayhis salaam)?

6) 8:57 Furthermore, I think there is a hadith, that Sayyidinah Ali, this is the
full hadith, Sayyinah Ali was asked by the Prophet salAllahu alayhi wa
Aalhi wassallam, whats the best act for a woman? And he (Imam Ali) was
a bit, obviously baf baffled

Firstly, saying I think really does say it all. Then he gets some confidence and
quotes the narration, which he adds his own spices to and presents it. Where in
the narration does it say Imam Ali a.s was baffled?

Ali (alayhis salaam) narrates, He was present in the company of the Messenger
of Allah (salAllahu alayhi wa Aalihi wassalam) when the Holy Prophet (salAllahu
alayhi wa Aalihiwassallam) asked, What is best for a woman on this the
companions remained quiet. When I returned home I asked Fatimah, Tell me
what is best for a woman? Fatimah (alayhi salaam) replied, It is best for a
woman that no (ghair) man see her. I mentioned this to the Holy Prophet
(salAllahu alayhi wa Aalihi wassallam) and He (salAllahu alayhi wa Aalihi
wassallam) said, Indeed Fatimah is a part of me4

Can Mr Banaras please enlighten us with a reference as to where and how Imam
Ali (alayhis salaam) was baffled? How can the one whom The Prophet (salAllahu
alayhi wa Aalihi wassallam) said about I am the City of Knowledge and Ali is its
gate be baffled?

7) 9:27 She doesnt look at another man with lust 9.27

Again, can Mr Banaras provide a reference for this. Nowhere in the narration
does it mention to look at another man with lust. Mr Banaras has made this
up. Sayyida Nisa al Alameen (alayhis salaam) is far far greater than how Mr
Banaras is uttering with his ignorant comments.

Mr Banaras was informed of his blunders and obviously seems to think there is
nothing wrong with what he has said, and it is sad to see that his teachers and
fellow senior mureeds are silent as well. Is this what they are taught? This man is
empty of knowledge and wisdom, knowing Arabic is not proof of knowledge as
much as he and others would like to think it is.

I request Mr Banaras to remove his video off the net with immediate effect and
apologies and correct his errors and then go and seek knowledge from a
competent teacher, and before he allows the titles of Ustadh to be attached to
his name he should learn respect for the esteemed Ahlul Bayt (alayhis salaam)
whilst he is at it, he should also reference his narrations properly and stop trying
to act like a teacher which he is truly a lifetime away from.

Yes, I know there will be people saying my tone is harsh or else that my
comments are at times personal, yet I ask these same people, where does your
defence go when it comes to the Prophets Family (upon them be peace and
salutations).

I have no personal issues with him and this was solely written in defence of
Sayyida Nisa al Alameen (salamullah alayha) and Imam Ali (alayhis salaam).

And guidance is from Allah alone.

A servant of Allah.
