Celebrating 500 years of continued ownership

Built in 1595 and never sold. Still a lived in family home.

We are particularly
proud of the White Hall

including Ronald and
his hoof and tail. He led
the Charge of the Light
Brigade, 160 years ago
this year, with his rider the
famous Earl of Cardigan

Easton Walled Gardens

Grimsthorpe Castle

Rediscovered 400 year old lost gardens.

A truly lovely place to visit.

An imposing building set amongst the rolling

Lincolnshire countryside.

Keen gardeners always

love the plant that is in
flower now but, if pushed
to choose, I would say
that I love the tapestry of
wildflowers on our terrace
meadows. They are filled
with insect life, colour and
scent all summer
Ursula Cholmeley

Fridays, Sundays and
Bank Holiday Mondays

garden at Grimsthorpe is
a sheltered, tranquil spot.
Theres always something of
interest to see; serried ranks
of lettuce, heavily-laden
standard gooseberry bushes

alive with honeybees.
Im often tempted to sample
a strawberry or two
