Scholarship Application
The Santa Fe Trail Rotary Club upholds the purpose of Rotary International by its members
involvement in community service activities. The Santa Fe Trail Rotary Club will award a $500
scholarship to one graduating senior at each of the Olathe Public High Schools who has
demonstrated involvement in community service activities and meets the following application
criteria:

Applicant must be a citizen of the United States.

Applicant must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
Applicant must have taken the ACT or SAT college entrance examination.
Applicant must plan to enroll in an accredited two-year or four-year vocational school,
college or university.

This completed application form, either typewritten or printed in black or blue ink, must be returned
along with an official high school transcript and two letters of recommendation to the school
counselor by Friday, February 27, 2015.

the recommendation and indicate his/her relationship to the applicant.

Please include a brief essay describing your involvement in a community service project and the
manner in which this experience has impacted you. (This essay should be typed or printed on a
separate sheet of paper and double spaced. Please limit your response to 300 words or less.)
