The fallowing Essay about Rights of indigenous communities " has as purpose to make

us think of our actual rights, achieving that we get attentive that not always the condition
of the Caribbean Coast has been the same. In times past our people had neither voice
nor vote, nevertheless those rights by the passing of time granted unto us after long
dialogs and manifestations. Now that we possess voice and vote, we must make them
count due to the fact that there are transgressions and violations in its application on
behalf of the governments towards us by establishing order, for which approaching the
topic of the rights of communities indigenous to a very specific way is an demand and a
need. It is not possible to remain in the generalities that sometimes are difficult to apply.
I will be developing the following aspects; Human right in the school, Laws and
fundamental freedom, the education of democracy. This topic is important since it
makes us to think about what we are doing for the rights of our indigenous communities
while there are transgressions and violations, when the government issues more and
more procedures (rules) without any respect, when not even they themselves are
abiding by those rules., is because of it, that the most suitable thing is to put hands to
the work to think together with the civil society and the governing class..
The education to the human rights is the affirmation of values and the transmission of
an idea which should be a practice or a culture, in our autonomous regions of
Nicaragua. I think that it is having been educated with principles whether it be in the
home or in an institution; more than an idea, to respect others.
This way our great problematic of racism and discrimination would be the least of our
concern. But the fundamental thing in order that this could happen is a change between
the adults, who give the example since some day the children.
Some duties and fundamental freedoms are; Every person has the rights and
fundamental freedom without distinction of race, color, language, social or economic
position, all individuals have right to life, to freedom and to juridical safety. Nobody can
be bothered arbitrary in his private life, his family, his domicile or his correspondence,
not with assaults to his honor or his reputation. I think that we as indigenous people you
should not be infected us with hatred and racism spread by foreign people.
I think that it must be unquestionable the matter of rights and duties of the inhabitants of
the Atlantic coast of Nicaragua since we are multicultural and should learn to respect
every individual like equal without a matter of which race they belongs since we were
born all with the same right; of estate is able to enjoy the same opportunities presented
in our region that the others may see the unity between the people of the Caribbean
coast without distinction to race, color of skin or language

Some of the Economic, Social and Cultural Laws; every person has right to the social
safety and to obtain the satisfaction of the economic, social and cultural rights.
Everybody have the same right to everything.
It does not have relevancy speak about all the rights that we have if we are not ready to
fulfill our duties; it is not prudent that the habitants of the autonomous regions keep
hoping that opportunities will overcome in their houses looking to be embrace. The
incompetence of the police is public, they inexperience, lack of education in the
policemen that supposedly are to guard over our safety and to help ourselves to that our
rights are fulfilled supporting the order.
The democracy implies having the control of our lives, have the opportunity to decide
with absolute freedom, and the education that is fundamental in our lives, the education
always I have seen it from my personal perspective as a very long process, but it is
necessary to think that it is worth a sorrow waiting. As indigenous communities, the
rights of equality and to enjoy all the benefits and opportunity, we must take advantage
of ourselves as it demonstrates that we are people of great intellect, capable of taking
the control of our lives and establishing our conduct as an example for the others.
The education to the democracy is not a theoretical set of topics that are transmitted
from mouth to ear and by means of home work to realize in the house. The education is
the integration to a tradition that will have to be known, be respected or to be created.
We will raise our culture when there exists a cultural made tradition of words of
gestures, of custom in that the freedom of everybody.
With regard to the paragraph previous to this one I consider that the human being is first
of all a value and his qualification always will have to be evaluated.
The University BICU, certainly the place where professionals are formed, where they
are educated to the young person to whom it is aware of the complexity of all the human
situations, which are an origin of many conflicts, does that they look at the situation in
which we live achieving that they do an effort for reaching to their goals.

In conclusion, the doctrine of the human rights teaches us that all the rights of the
people are indivisible, that is to say, that integrate a total unit which reason resides in
the dignity of the man. This attribute of the person, the dignity, will suffer damage when
someone of the rights is violated. Anyone is the matter on which there was relapsing the
limitation - life, health, education, personal freedom, freedom of expression, etc. - and
without order of importance, the man will suffer in his dignity.
The defense and the promotion of the human rights in the University and the schools is
first of all the creation of a way of living. Not necessarily it must be a question the
violations as a specific way to the rights that exist, but we dedicate to the construction of
a new company in which the young persons and adults enter this new social and
cultural dynamics.
