Dear Candidate,
Welcome to HSBCs pre-employment screening process.
HSBCs pre-employment screening is conducted by HireRight Powerchex Ltd and the process
takes approximately two weeks. Please ll out as much informaon as possible as this speeds
up the compleon of your le. HireRight may call you directly if any informaon you provide
is incomplete or unclear.
Please note that the online form must be completed in one sing. Use the named tabs at
the top of the form to navigate through the form. Please do not use the back, forward or
refresh buons in your internet browser as this will cause all of your informaon to be lost
and you will have to start the form again.
Once you have lled in all of the relevant elds, please use your computer mouse to digitally
sign the form, and then click the submit buon. Once you have pressed submit you will be
given the opon to save a summary of the informaon you have provided and HireRight
recommend that you do this before closing your browser.
The form can take up to 1 hour to complete so please ensure you have adequate me
available before you start. You will need to have the following informaon to hand:

Personal informaon:
o As part of the screening process, you will need to provide us with a copy of the
informaon page of your passport. You will be able to aach a scanned copy to
your applicaon, or, alternavely, you will have the opon to send this to us
separately.
o Your Naonal Insurance Number
o Your driving licence (if applicable)
o Any relevant overseas social security or identy number

Details of all academic achievements:


o Names of academic instuons studied at, including addresses
o Dates of aendance (MM/YYYY MM/YYYY)
o Qualicaons and grades obtained

Details of any professional qualicaons, memberships or licences you feel are


relevant to the role:

o The full name of each qualicaon and dates of award and study
o Grade of membership
o Awarding body

You need to provide full details of your employment history for the last 5 years.
Any gaps over 3 months will need to be veried.
o Employer details including the name and address of the organisaon
o Dates of employment for the full period (MM/YYYY MM/YYYY)
o Details of any temp agencies used if at any point you were a temporary or
contract worker
o Names and job tles of line managers you reported to
o Explanaons and supporng documentaon for any period of 3 (or more)
connuous months in the past 5 years when you were not in employment or
academia, including contact informaon for an appropriate professional
character referee

A full address history, including your current address, for the past 6 years, including
start and end date of residency at each address (MM/YYYY MM/YYYY)
o This must include a copy of a current address document issued within the last
three months. The original proof of address document will need to be provided
to HSBC prior to or on rst day.
