CONFERENCE PREAMBLE
The academic fraternity engaged in Arts and Humanities studies across the world is preoccupied
with various ways of understanding the functions, structures and forms of language, literature and
education. In addition to their interrelations and interdependence, the new ideas and approaches
emerging from various disciplines like literary theory, philosophy, anthropology, linguistics,
pragmatics, discourse analysis etc. alongside technological revolution and socio-cultural
transformations, have a pivotal role to play in the methodological and scientific study of language,
literature and the paradigms of education and pedagogy. Hence, the proposed conference aims to
explore and to scrutinize such dynamics with a central focus on the complementary nature of
language, literature and education and their centrality in human life, with specific reference to the
Arts and Humanities studies in the Indian context.
The Organizing Committee of the proposed conference invites scholarly researched papers that
examine the intersections of Language, Literature and Education and their sub-disciplines with
special reference to the Indian context. The primary focus of the proposed conference is to examine
the new methodologies, theories, and sites of study that are emerging from this intersection.
