Social media is todays most transparent, engaging and interactive form of
public relations. It combines the true grit of real time content with the beauty of
authentic peer-to-peer communication. This statement was supported by Lisa

According to Danah Boyd Social network sites (SNSs) are increasingly attracting
the attention of academic and industry researchers intrigued by their affordances
and reach.

According (Nolan, 2009); the Catholic Press Association (2010) that Social
media employ mobile and web-based technologies to create highly interactive
platforms via which individuals and communities share, co-create, discuss, and
modify user-generated content.

There have been several recent disasters during which social media provided the only viable
venue for communication. During Super storm Sandy, most people didnt have power, but some
cell networks and Wi-Fi towers were still operational. Many people used Facebook to detail the
destruction and reassure friends or family that they were safe.

There are 13% who thinks that social media cant help them to gain more friends because they
think they can gain friends without using this kind of social media.

they are fun of having communications with friends who are using also this kind of social media.
There are 53% of respondents saying that they spent lot of time with their family and friends by
having bonding with them and having happiness in their hearts.
