This course will focus on skills related to the art and science of teaching, regardless of the
discipline being taught. In many cases, these are the skills that will “make or break” a
teacher. Emphasis will be given to those areas of knowledge necessary to pass the state-
mandated TExES Pedagogy & Professional Responsibilities Test (PPR), a test which is
required for certification. Each week a new instructional skill will be examined with
corresponding TExES competencies.
