Calendars are created for different groups whereas each group is a subsite of the main calendar site
Skyline wants to see one calendar immediately and how to use them.
Regarding portals the links provided by Estuate are all in the same page. That is not how skyline wants it. Each
link should be a separate portal in itself and these portals are independent of each other
Regarding the master page skyline is currently Ok with the present design and will let Estuate know in case of
any modification of the design
Skyline wants the links of seven portals.

As per our chat conversation today please find below the details regarding calendaring system for different groups

This is the top level site for Calendar Management system
On this page you will find links for other group calendars on the top
you can click on "Admin and Examination" link
This will take you to the subsite of the group
here on the left navigation you need to click on site contents and then click on AdminandExamCalander
you will be presented a view of the calendar. On the top you will see an Event tab on the ribbon.
On the new event tab we have added a custom event called examinations.
if you click on that we have added custom columns for different departments like arts science .
This allows us to customize events based on departments.
We can customize this according to your requirement.

We have now calendar for the 8 departments as requested by you. Regarding the error on the home page that
looks like SharePoint installation issue which Im trying to debug.
Skyline will provide new list of calendars to be developed-All the calendars provided
Skyline wants to connect one calendar to outlook.
On Portal on one of the portals skyline wants the structures to be completed
The current environment in Estuate doesnt have outlook installed. Will check with admin team and will have an
update on that-Spoke to Mr Naveen from Estuate-Issue Resolved
Regarding the portal structure not much information is available on the SOW (They are just one liner statements
) Estuate will study them and take appropriate decision on how things are placed on the portal.-Explained

Since we could not get outlook installed on the test system we could not test the functionality of connecting
SharePoint calendar with outlook. That will be done by tomorrow.-Issue Resolved
Regarding the portal that requires coding efforts and out current test server is not installed with required tools
for development. Im getting it setup and will have more updates regarding the same by tomorrow. The current
SharePoint trial version has some bugs which is known issue with Microsoft and the licensed version might have
patch for the same. Due to this issue we are facing some problem with our portal wherein we are not able to
add an app. There is a workaround suggested and we are trying out on that. -Issue Resolved
A demo of current calendar was arranged in GoToMeeting.-Had a live demo with Manohar and explained him
the calendar views
Skyline has shared a list of calendars to be created.
The proposed solution for this would be we will create different Events for eg Admission is an event, sports is
another event like wise lecture is another event. Under admission we will have departments like MBA, BBA etc.
So the entry point for adding an event will be in one place only one place. All different events will be color coded
for proper readability.
These has to be demoed on Monday afternoon.
Skyline will arrange for a demo meeting with its IT department.

Discussion regarding Document Management System
As per our discussion this morning we have completed the calendar management system for Skyline university.
There are a list of 17 calendars including a group calendar. The group calendar lets you to view other calendars in
one place. Clicking on any of these calendar will take you that respective calendar where in one can
add/remove/edit events. Microsoft allows only 10 calendars to be overlaid hence in group calendar you can see
a maximum of 10 other calendar. Please let us know your feedback on the same.

Todays tasks:
I have created a calendar with as per the attached document. This calendar has features where in when you
create a new event you can add attendees , pick members from the list. This calendar can be downloaded as
Excel format.
Regarding your requirement on point 1) Import calendar in PDF format , Currently there is no Out of the box
feature in SharePoint to accomplish that
I presume that by import you mean that one should be able to download the copy of the calendar in PDF
format. Please correct me if Im wrong.
As per the telephonic conversation which Dr. Deepak this afternoon following points were discussed.
1. Regarding the confusion on import of calendar Deepak made it clear that skyline would like to have a
report on the events of all the calendars.
2. The current set of calendars looks good
3. Skyline would like to know the efforts involved in creating this report.
I created an application page where in you can view the report on calendar events. Opening this link you can find
a button to view the report.
The report is presented in a grid view for all the events of the calendar. We can generate reports for any
calendar within SharePoint and view the same . we can tailor this report to suit your needs and will contain only
the columns you need. Currently it contains all the columns available so that you can view the same and know
what columns are available to choose from.

As per the telephonic conversation this morning Nov 5 , I have created a team site to hold skyline document
repository. We can accomplish a lot with SharePoint collaborative tool . Currently I created a content type for
Passport document which has fields for name , contact, country , ID number etc.
I have added versioning for these documents and also enabled checkout/check in policies.
We can apply workflows , Information management policies and permissions based on your
requirement for these documents.
