Audio IP - Encoder / Decoder
StreamCube from mediatron is the professional Encoder /
Decoder solution. StreamCube is able to transmit audio signals
economically via IP-based networks such as LAN, WAN and Internet
(DSL) and over long distances to several receivers or to a
SHOUTcast / Icecast Server.

Due to its versatility the StreamCube series meets all pro-audio and
consumer demands in a perfect way. StreamCube Encoders and Decoders are available in two different versions. They differ in their
audio I/O connections and the levels typical for studio appliance.
Encoder - Audio-to-Ethernet IP Converter

The StreamCube series consists of Encoder (Audio-to-Ethernet)

and Decoder (Ethernet-to-Audio) and is suitable likewise for permanent and temporary installation.
The encoded audio signal can either be transmitted within a building
complex via CAT5 Ethernet LAN-cable and standard networkswitches to one or more devices from the StreamCube DEC series
or to PCs. Transmission is also possible via other IP-based networks
such as WAN, Internet and VPN. The StreamCube ENC series
can also be used in connexion with a SHOUTcast or an Icecast
Server for the distribution of an Internet radio programm. The bitrate and sampling-frequency is adjustable for different sound
qualities (MP3) in mono or stereo.
The controlling and administration of the StreamCube works with a
web browser-based application via PC, PDA or an other web-based
device.
The State-of-the-Art technology enables a cost-effective, highly
available and flexible audio distribution application. The automatical
change-over and reconnect function of the StreamCube DEC series
is built on up to three different stream sources or one MP3 USB
stick player. The StreamCube DEC series makes many applications
in the point-of-sale and interest range possible as well as backups of
lines in the broadcast environment. Due to professional interfaces
and various types of devices, StreamCube can be integrated and
controlled in different audio applications. An infrared remote control,
optionally available for the StreamCube DEC series, makes the
change-over of streams and a volume control possible.

StreamCube is suitable for projects and installations in public
buildings such as airports, sports fields, shopping centres, hotels,
museums, as well as point-of-sale and point-of-interest applications,
for announcements, warnings and for the distribution of advertisements. In the pro-audio area, StreamCube is applicable for the
networked audio production, for audio transmissions of all kinds,
for the Internet radio as well as for broadcast purposes for example
as a STL Studio to Transmitter Link or for the leased line replacements.
The optional remote-monitoring-service of the StreamCube insures
an optimal and highly availbale efficient management of a great
number of devices. It reduces failure times to a minimum. The
monitoring runs web-based and fully automatic with messages of
the state of each device. The notification can be by e-mail or SMS.
