BIO:
I have over seven years experience in administration and marketing, as a seasonal
staff member at several film festivals and various arts endeavors. I was recently the Festival
Office Manager for the New Orleans Film Society for the duration of their festival season. I
was previously the Media and Marketing Coordinator at Florida International Universitys
Department of Theatre in Miami, FL where I ran multiple successful campaigns - and
wherein there was a 10% increase in performance attendance as well as increased engagement in social media. Duties at my various positions as well as my work with several film
festivals have similarities including coordinating mailings of screeners, electronic press
kits, preparing promotions for films and events, and assisting in box office and theater
management. These positions also gave me experience in member services as well as special event planning and management.
SKILLS:
I am proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite and am familiar with Adobe Photoshop,
database management, website CMS, social media platforms, and other various web based
platforms. I also have a strong background in office management and administration.
My academic qualifications effectively supplement my work experience. I attended
the Graduate Arts Administration program at Boston University, where I earned a Graduate
Certificate in Fundraising Management for Nonprofit Organizations (including coursework
in Audience Development and Marketing for the Arts and Fundraising Management). As
part of this Masters program, I was an intern for the Commonwealth Shakespeare Company's 2010 production as Volunteer Coordinator. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature with a Certificate in Film Studies from Florida International University in Miami, FL.
If you're looking for someone with varied experience, who embraces challenges, and
finds creative solutions, I believe I would be a great addition to any production team.
Thank you for your time and consideration and look forward to hearing from you. I
have enclosed below my resume and references below for review.
