Montage
This is a spiritual message to relay how important Family
history is in the LDS faith and where the ultimate goal is
for all family members, which is the temple.
I first decided to use the pictures and the color scheme
which were both from my wedding. then I put them into
photoshop.
I used the Temple picture as the background, and put a
black and white mask on it. I then proceeded to use the
paint brush tool to bring back the color on the sky.
I then added the picture of the five girls and put a mask on
that and used the same brush tool to blend those pixels
into the temple picture pixels.
I went ahead and added the quote by using three different
Text Boxes so that I could make the words different fonts
and sizes.
I wanted to have a different take on family history and
temples. most people would assume that when you see a
temple you think of weddings, not many people would
think family history. so my message is that temples are also
used to get other family work done besides just your own.

Brochure
This is a two sided folded brochure I created using Adobe
Indesign and illustrator, and a simple Logo I ceated
using Indesign.
I used Adobe Indesign and illustrator, first I created an outline
for the brochure using the rulers on the side to set the lines for
where I would fold it. I then picked my pictures and started
laying out what I would want. I then opened illistrator when
I got an idea of what I wanted and then started designing my
logo. I added that to the back of my brochure along with the
address and number. I then used the pen tool to create the
slide, and I used the pen dropper to match the red and yellow
from my brochure to the slide logo to make it match.
I wanted my message to be that the daycare is fun, and child
oriented with a family based organization.

Photo Design
this project was to demonstrate good photography and image editing
skills.
I first made my plan by choosing a color scheme from the color wheel
that was in the visual FOCUS book. I decided to pick a
monochromatic scheme using the color from the shoe. I captured a
nice picture, with a lot of lead way and sharp focus, I then took it into
the photoshop program and used specific editing tools which are
levels, sharpness, saturation, and color balance.
Then I design an 8.511 layout that including my photo, text, and
repeating design elements. I incorporated my color scheme title,
color swatches, and color names into my design. I liked the smudge
tool so I made sure to use that a lot. it gave the picture the feel I wanted
it to.
With this project I wanted my message to show a magical, mystery and
dream feel.

Letter

This project I was to create a letter head and matching

Business card with a personally made logo.
I used Adobe illustrator to create the Logo, I used the
pen tool to cut out shapes to create the feather pen. I then
put that Into Adobe Indesign and created the letter head
which I made everything just a little bigger and made sure
I had plenty of white space.
My message is classic writing skills. back in History
people were known for the way they wrote and the
handwriting. which is why I picked the feather pen, it
creates the feel of classic writing.

A color full-bleed event ad to promote a fundraising event

using only Microsoft Word and a scanner.
I scanned one of my book covers and used the 3D affect to
add the angles. I used block letters to try and match the
wording on the book and then a normal sarif to try and match
the small body copy on the book. I matched the colors by
using one of the matching tools on word, so all the colors on
the poster are the same from the book.
My message is that its old but is still sharp , I want people to
understand its not modern, its classic and a little bit of an
older style, which is why I used the green and yellow. it makes
me think of the green carpets older houses used to have.

Flyer

Graduate
Leadership Conference

This is a black and white flyer promoting a leadership

conference for graduating seniors.
I was given the information for this flyer and began by
drawing sketches of what I might want to do.
I went onto Adobe Indesign and started creating.
I used the two square boxes and the two angled black
boxes for repetition and balance, I then made sure
everything was aligned and looked pristine, I made
Graduate bigger so that it showed who it was for, and
I made the words space limited bigger so that people
knew they needed to act fast and give contrast to the
smaller words.
My message is that seniors are still fun, which is why I
picked the smiling picture. but I wanted to get across
that the company is sharp and modern, which is why I
used sharp angles and boxes.

I used Adobe illustrator to create these logos. I used

different sized fonts for the first one, and then I used
the pen tool to trace a tiara for the second one, and
then used the paint tool to add the font to make it
look like it was all one thing. for the last one I used
the tracing tool again for the crown, and I made two
different color boxes and switched the colors. I made
the font the same color as the blue so that it would
blend into it on the edges of the letters.

This is a webpage I created using HTML and CSS. with
inputting one of my own logos I created in adobe illustrator.
This was so hard, I was having a hard time with it, so its
not my best project. but I started out doing a few activities
online to try and get to know html and I felt like I got the
basics of it pretty well, but then I had to add css which was a
lot harder and it took a long time to get it finished.
This message it show showcase my Logos.
